Bumpy takeoff from Ft. Lauderdale - JetBlue A320

This was a bumpy takeoff in one of JetBlue A-320 aircraft from Fort Lauderdale InternationalAirport. Definitely, you could tell the pilot was fighting the crosswind coming from the right side of the aircraft.

B-717 Takeoff from KOMA to KATL

After going through training in Omaha, Nebraska, for 6 days, it was time to return home to Orlando, Florida. I traveled with Delta Airlines in one of their B-717 aircraft. This particular airplane brought back lots of good memories from the days when I used to fly the MD-11F. The cockpit of the B-717 is like the young brother of the MD-11F aircraft.

Plane would be .... I text too fast ! 🤣😂🤣😂😂
Seems like flying anywhere in Alaska is very interesting! Years ago I flew to Juneau, Alaska. My brother told me that the olane woukd be making lots of adjustments. Narrow airport , huge mountains and bay in between air port! He was correct! 🤔🤔🤣😂
BTDT many, many times -- same RW in ANC -- over a 25 year time span in a B-747F (and passenger models) when flying for my last airline prior to retirement. We frequently experienced significant windshear 2 or 3 X coming from different directions under 3000' prior to landing which made the final corrections "interesting" to say the least ... all hand flown. Who woulda' thunk' a washed-up, burned-out former USN A-4 driver could have managed that ... yes ??? (smiles)
Amazing landing! Like, WOW! Question: was that camera hand-held?
We landed once, I had a window seat it was totally socked in all the way, could not see a foot out the window the whole time. Super freaky to me how they can land in those conditions. 100% instrument landing.
WOW!
Indeed so bumpy, good job!👍
ВПП, перрон, РД обработы химреагентом, от снега и наледи очищены, состояние аэродрома хорошее! САТО респект и уважуха
Brilliant touch down- glued it to the deck, flying skill at its best. Those last few seconds adjustments to the sink rate very well accomplished.
Thank God they’re in a 747. Imagine trying to land in a puddle jumper 😱
I will never fly into Anchorage if this is what it’s like 😮
Holy moly 😮
That was a great landing. Stuck it 💪🏽
Ted Stevens! HOME! I love Alaska! There for 2 years in the AF! :-)
Did one of the pilots have to open the window because he got airsickness? Can we say TOGA? That’s like watching a B-17 on a bombing run through flack movie.
If you have engineering big planes can be thrown around like that and hold together. To the machinists and fabricators when everyone who builds them. Awesome
Bravo!
'Cobble Stony' arrival we would call it. Wonderful race the Romans...
Great to watch, it makes me want to fly with those guys, they did great!
To me thats a ride of terror. For the pilots another landing that they have trained for
LOTS OF POWER IN THOSE ENGINES
Very professional crew
My anxiety would go out the window with the panels blinking this that
Man I don't even want to see this I don't want to be on a plane like this and I don't want to see this even on a video.
Awesome crew. Tuff air
I would like all the none pilots (and some of the pilots) out there to take note of the small amount of control inputs made by these guys despite the conditions clearly present, that is the way you fly aircraft not how some of these cockpit videos show with someone making inputs that the aircraft can’t possibly follow. Way to go guys, from one ex Jumbo boy to another “nice”!
Speedly very higty God help all yours life
❤at this latitudine j immagine the pericolosyty of ✈️✈️✈️
Good landing pilots 👍
Grande spettacolo l atterraggio 🆗 very well
If the 747 was having this much trouble, wonder how fun it would be in my little Cessna
Cool... calm... & collected! Thanks for your professionalism. I am afraid of flying, but knowing there are pilots such as yourselves, it makes it easier for me!
Wind shear perhaps?
Imagine that the passengers were a little 'Uncle Dick' after that!
Excellent! 👍 Those winds can test you.
Excellent job crew! you put this big baby down easy. Thanks.
Its all up to the pilot .
Think ill stick to my vw bug on th ground safer.🇺🇸

Auto-approach followed by manual land . Impressive !
The first officer at that time, he was doing his initial operating experience, and since it was a very bumpy ride, the check airman requested that the first officer needed to disconnect the autopilots and hand fly the aircraft. He did a good job, in my humble opinion. Thank you for watching my videos!
You guys don't let the FO taxi?
Hello there David, it is up to the captain to let the first officer taxi the aircraft. However, the company doesn't give taxi training to the first officers while in the simulator. I used to let the first officers taxi the aircraft to the runway or to the ramp as much as possible. You just have to be ready to take over ASAP should the first officer mess things up. Thank you for watching!
@@afreightdogslife, they considered having only the Captain taxi the aircraft here a few years ago, all in the name of standardization I suppose. Thankfully that idea died on the vine!
Heavy bird, indeed.
Yes, we were departing at our maximum takeoff weight. As you can see, it took a while to get to 80 kts......... V1...........Rotate... Thank you for watching my videos. It is much appreciated.
This is exaggerated because the camera is hand held which amplifies the movement of the camera. Notice the movement even when the airplane is on the runway.
Are those flashing displays a quirk of videography or is that the way they are?
Talk about stabilized and chaotic approach!😅
I couldn't land a plane in Alaska .... the beautiful scenery would be too distracting! 😅
Leave the A/P engaged during the initial descent the set heading to 210. Once the RWY is in sight….disengage the A/P. Will establish a stabilized approach to the RWY.
We go from Detroit Willow Run to Anchorage all the time. It’s a great route
Ritas may have similar dessert.
Excellent explanation, thanks!
