That console from the first episode of Monster Rancher anime TV series looks like Sony PlayStation known as PS1 except it is grey (PSOne is white) and two large buttons are circular. If they use the PlayStation trademark without a permission, TMS/Tecmo (now Koei Tecmo) would definitely be sued by Sony.

I used to watch this Japanese anime TV series from the early 2000s when I was a kid. It was broadcast on TG4 (formerly known as TnaG) as the Irish Gaelic dub version in the early 2000s and it was also broadcast on the BBC as a part of their children's block CBBC as the English dub version in the early 2000s. I always love that anime series. My favourite character is Holly and my favourite monsters are Suezo, Golem, Mocchi and Pixie as well.

Interesting question though... Is that Suezo in the Anime a regular Suezo or was it a Sueki Suezo? If you know what a Sueki Suezo is and what's "Special" about it in Monster Rancher 2 then you'll know the significance of my question 😂
