No, absolutely no problem at all with scrubbing.

It comes with magnetic attachments, but i recommend using a putty like glue , blutak or similar. Makes it air tight sealed and easy to clean without removing or damaging

Hi! The crappie look is due to my no bike washing method i keep doing since over a decade. Just wanted to show the saddle is absolutely mud und gunk proof AND is still in absolutely pristine condition. That was my personal concern buying that saddle for MTB. To your question; Even spraying it with the waterbottle a couple times gets it absolutely clean! The structure and the way everything is shaped with openings all around the side’s and underneath let’s all basically everything go through it. Hosing it will make it 100% clean. No worries 😌

Unfortunately this game isn’t played so much like before. :-( I got it since release day and enjoyed it alot with full fleetbattle and dogfight lobbys all the time. Maybe it’s a Germany/European server/players issue? I don’t know because this game is amazing and it’s a shame it won’t get supported anymore from the developers. I’d love to see a PlayStation 5 version or maybe even PS VR2 !

Great to hear! I still prefer my method and can really recommend it! The only thing i do from time to time: Vacuum the two filters. Done! The console is a day one unit and pristine inside. I did the modification basically a few days after getting the thing on release day and some testing. This way i never move the console around or mess with cables and eventually ruin the hdmi port from plugging it in and out everytime etc.

@@irfkaptan true, unfortunately over time it will get loud, just like the PS4 I don’t mind it tho, as it’s easy to clean, but sony does need to fix this problem

@@ryleyyg Yep, they easily could do an filter solution from Factory. They are very aware of the situation! The vacuum holes (useless, just a temporary solution to prevent law suits from totally failing consoles i guess) are not there for fun… The fan is very capable in moving A LOT of air. My unit is still absolutely inaudible, and it’s now over two years in use! I did a video of the console running unreal engine 5, check it out if you like. I have the so „called“ best fan too, got really lucky since there are 4 different manufacturers. The Delta Electronics one ist the most silent and best one until today.

From my experience’s from friends and tech blog’s the Delta’s are rare because they are a few cents more expensive… 😑 It’s a freaking shame today that so much electronics are definitely a Lottery getting the best unit. That’s really unfortunate, and i personally hate it.

The sidepanels already have negative effects on cooling. Even without my modification the main chassis of the console is actually wrapped by the Covers. They are just a protective aesthetic choice from Sony to prevent ,especially children, from putting stuff or fingers in the Fan! I definitely recommend to remove them if considering my modification! Keep in mind: The mesh of the Filters are very fine, it will definitely reduce some airflow. But this is going be reversed by the fact that without the Panels the Fan is no longer operating against an enclosure! The airflow is directly pulled very strong from the Whole Fan areas. It’s all about the airflow and pressure in the Chassis. Do not use it with the covers on, it will have an massive effect on the Cooling design and can let important components (powersupply, mosfets) without or ineffective cooling!

Look at the video description, i list all items needed and what to consider doing the mod. The most important is the two DEMCiflex 90mm filters and attach them with blutak putty on the modified chassis! Please note that my modification requires the console to be operate without the useless sidepanels! Also it is crucial to close all small openings on the chassis (the ones i point to in the video!) this will maintain pressure and airflow! Also as a sidenote: I did this to my still flawless running release day one console CFI-1016B Model! I can’t say how my mod will work with the later cheaper build revisions CFI-1116B and CFI-1216B!

No it won’t. It’s almost two years now since i modded it. Got the console on release day. Now after two summers with over 35• Celsius i can definitely proof you wrong! IF it was overheating the Fan would ramp up… It clearly doesn’t on my unit! Mine is in fact even cooler than the stock configuration, because the useless sidepanels are not blocking the very important airflow now. The mashine is moving way more air pressure compared to stock.

Videos like this are the reason why some people shouldn't be allowed to make videos on RUclips and why certain people should not be allowed to own video game consoles. If this would solve the problems of the PlayStation and not make it worse don't you think the people that designed the system and you know like the engineer's and whatnot that understand airflow and how it works would have just done this instead of making plates to put on the side that are you know helping protect the system including but not limited to allowing things like static electricity to reach the motherboard and fry it out. Some people I'm telling you just some people

@gavinrobinson2270 um because if they place hall effect one's in there....they won't get stick drift...and if they don't get stick drift, they can't make more money off of you by you purchasing a new controller. You can't keep making money off of something that doesn't break 🤣. If they never broke they wouldn't make money off the accessories. It's how things work they expect these things to break on purpose after a set amount of usage so that you are forced to buy a new one such is the way of the business world. And if you haven't learned that yet then you have a lot to learn. They know exactly what they're doing and how to make the money off of you. There's an old saying that goes there's a sucker born every minute and chances are you're one of them and if you haven't heard that saying then perhaps you need to familiarize yourself with it. Hall effect triggers are something you usually get in a pro or a Scuf Controller something that you pay a decent amount of money for that also allows you the ability to repair it yourself... Do you really think they're going to put top of the line expensive hall effect joysticks into a $70 controller?? Please share with me the drugs that in which you are smoking. Plus the only people that are known to get stick drift are those that either are excessive fighting game players and people who basically throw their joysticks around like they have Parkinson's disease which is why they will never fix stick drift because stick drift isn't something that happens because of the sticks it happens because of the user and how you play and if you take care or don't take care of your controller like cleaning in between your joysticks. If you play like a moron and don't take care of your controller of course it's going to break just like people who constantly Button Mash on like their bumpers and their triggers wind up breaking their bumpers and triggers it's not Sony's fault that they're not making strong enough triggers it's people's fault for how they play It's called user error. These joysticks are not as thick as they used to be back with arcade cabinets they're millimeters thin... and that you can't play with them the same way. Remember how many people were acting a fool trying to swirl that damn joystick around on the N64 controller and would constantly snap it because they weren't playing with it decently??? Stick drift is the same thing they're not going to put expensive joysticks into an inexpensive controller where people are just going to play with them like morons anyway and probably still break them regardless

Just vacuumed the filters yesterday, and man i tell you this thing collects dust… I got it since release day. We had plenty nice warm weather and even on temps like 30+ Celsius it’s running silent and perfectly fine. 🙏🏻

I just open up my to clean the heatsink. The dust level was on the minimum. The accumulation of dust was on the fan area. Im considered trying your method.

Hallo Micheal ! You need to cut the four little pieces that stick out on the metal fan cover with a small sharp wire cutter. Unfortunately it’s like small pins pressed tightly in the left plastic body part of the console. You just cut like 2mm of the tip of those on the cover to get the whole thing free from the chassis… But no issues whatsoever, it’s just for holding the metal cover in place.

@@winghinkao Hello Michael! Good to hear that! I forgot to write here that i did not use the magnetic tape of the dmcflex filters to hold em in place… I use Blutac putty and It is clean and absolutely adhesive free. It’s strong enough to put a powerful vacuum on it and so makes maintaining very easy. Just vacuuming every few weeks. The holes must be closed definitely with anything that fits I’d say. The two sony official vacuum ports i closed with 3M protection tape and foam from an protecting package of electronics. The other tiny holes are easy ti stuff with little covering caps from Würth. I get them from the Hardware store ages ago
