David Phelps has a huge following and we call ourselves "Phelps Phans." You, my Dear, were just Phelpsed. It usually only takes hearing him sing once. I truly believe he is the best tenor on the planet. He sings all genres of music but his true love and calling is gospel. He writes, arranges, produces, plays keyboard and his wife, Lori, (by the way, they share exactly the same birthday but he's a couple of hours older. He says that makes him the boss then lowers his voice and says " Lori didn't hear that, did she?) have 4 children, 2 boys and 2 girls and ALL of the children are musical. David sang with the Gaither Vocal Band for over 20 years and is now doing solo tours with his band and family. He's from Texas but lives on a farm in Tennessee where he renovated a 100 year old dairy barn into a wonderful concert venue where he and his family hosts "Barn Bash" twice a year. Labor Day and Christmas. I've met he and his family several times and he's humble, hilarious and EXTREMELY talented. Have fun going down the rabbit hole. I'm right here with you.

I smiled when you mentioned his lower register and thought - just wait until you hear him get to the higher registers of his voice! He did write this song as you know now, and his songs - whether he writes them or sings other songs - such as hymns- are sung from his heart, and he is such a humble man, too. God truly has blessed David and us through his singing ministry!

I love Jaylisa. She is adorable and how wonderful to hear her say she is a Christian. Her reaction to David Pjelps is spot on. I really hope she does David singing O Holy Night. She would be stunned at the vocal range he displays on that and really any song he sings.
