Honestly I would suggest getting a 8bitdo Neo Geo controller because of how good the D-pad really is! KoF XV feel right on said controller!

If you are referring to the leverless arcade stick, but it plays so well. I would recommend using one. Takes time to get use to but it nice when you can pull off decent moves

There are still time to learn! I wish I did as well but my mentality would prevent me from doing so because I get too distracted lmao

@@sakuwantstofight haha you're right. I did major in IT but my soul just wasn't there. I realize I like making graphics more than coding. I still like to learn and get back to it some day though. the dreams of making my own video game still burns on.

I mean closest to the GB for SNK/Capcom games on that system is; Fatal Fury 2 Samurai Shodown KoF 95 Street Fightern Alpha Though that being said, if someone has experience with game engines it is possible to make a (homebrew) version of this game with the sprites and resources.

I agree. The issue is that people are quick to dismiss it because it is outside their wheelhouse. When I saw your vid, your points made sense when they want us to respect their games but they can't respect their own games which makes me think, why do we take them seriously. If they don't like AF's for reasons, then cool I can respect that but I don't think most of them need to brush it off because its out of their wheelhouse. Thanks for the comment and views!!

Right but I am not pushing for it to be taken seriously. I am making the argument they share many things but have different things in game and mechanics similar to traditional FG's that make them a FG. Yes I'll agree that AF's aren't that deep in gameplay, that much is a given, but for the sake of devils adcovacy, they can be fun even if I am a not a fan of them. If people want to push for AF's in a competitive spirit for something like combobreaker or EVO, cool thats their business, I personally couldn't care because I am not attending or playing there.

I mean, I played enough AF's to understand them and how they are considered fighting games and found some enjoyment despite I prefer what we would to be considered as fighting games. I explore a lot to find good, the objectively good, Mediocre right to the Kuso-jank and found enjoyment except for a few titles. Nah real talk though, you plan on getting CotW?

Word have meaning when we give them meaning. Some people when they say fighting games they refer solely to traditional fighting games. Would you call Call of Duty a fighting game because you fight with people using guns? No. In this case, people are split between the two. But at the end of the day, it's just words. They get meaning based on public consensus and in this case the consensus is split.

@@eroedellabrina3851 yeah, this mic ain't so good but it does what it does. I use sound recorder to do my voiceovers and I hate the fact that it does not do my voice justice and I can't use effects to clear, compress nor normalize the audio. That is more a fault on my part. Let alone the dead air also has a terrible ringing as mentioned. But I shall be moving onto audacity because it offers those effects. Why I did not use it before for the last year or so is beyond me. Thanks for bringing this up.

@@sakuwantstofight The mic sounds good enough, I don't expect everyone to have studio mics, for me it's just the ringing that's very overwhelming. Audacity is a pretty good program for audio editing, not an expert by any mean but it has always done what i needed it to. I'm sorry i thought I was referring to your voice, I should've been clear in the first comment I made

​@sakuwantstofight yes I agree. There's a good bit of nuance on the subject, sure. But arena fighters i believe are just as( i guess, on the same level) as regular fighters. At the end of the day it's just a change of perspective. And every game is going to be different to some degree. SZ I'd consider to be a GREAT fighting game. But i think the reason people dont give it that merit is because it isn't a game that puts competitive play first, it puts fun first.

I can respect your opnion on not wanting it, personally I am not all too bothered whether an AF fighter is in EVO or not (I am not attending either way because of distance and I have a skill issue) But I feel the difference between Arena Fighter and a Fighting Game is clear as night and day and most AF's tend to peter out after months since its release. Case in point, Naruto Ninja Storm 3. Sure its an older game, but it did have around 7000 players estimate on release (Steam) but since like months into its release it just fizzled with the numbers and 10 years later around 90 players still play it. Now in regards of the latter of the second comment, surprisingly there are local tournaments for AF's around, its the case of finding them. Heck even online tournaments exist. But shit man I could respect a local scene for AF's and tournament play.

I mean I could of aptly named it something else, but like I said.. I need views 😅

Considering there were RPG games to begin with during the days of the Nintendo Famicom. I think Miss X is the only one of the standard fighters that’s not a woman. And Kukri is acting out a fetish of sorts. It’s a fun game get a cheap physical copy. I got it on sale for the Switch like four years ago now. Don’t get me wrong it’s a bit clunky and the final boss cheap shots the living hell out of you. Definitely worth around $20 wouldn’t pay much more than that.

Do it, you will not regret it. It is by far one of the best games in the FF series by far. Thats until City of the Wolves and changes that.

The new one that is coming out? It will have Rollback Netcode and Crossplay.
