You would have got on the motorway before Leeds about half hour after Middlesbrough near Ripon at Junction 49 on the A1(M) Then the at the A1(M) and M1 fork then into Leeds. I used to be based out of the Walkergate Depot and did this stretch there and back 6 days a week as Megabus unlike the National express would treat these routes like a relay instead of multiple drivers although I mainly did the Newcastle to London service from Newcastle down to Wooley Edge services and then another driver will be waiting at that services who was based either in Wakefield or Nottingham depots. That driver will take the bus as far as Tibshelf services or Leicester Fosse Way while I be having my 45 minute driving time break before another bus back to Newcastle or into Scotland came in and I take over that one. We also used to change drivers at Leeds too if there was an unforeseen delay which would mean that we wouldnt have enough legal driving time to reach the services

That bridge you cross Sunderland is the Alexandra Bridge. The bridge in Sunderland that is similar to the Tyne bridge is further down stream called the Wearmouth Bridge. The bridge you crossed used to have a railway line above it too.

Actually, the city of Sunderland is actually larger than Newcastle in size. But most investment in the north east is done in Newcastle.

Megabus wasnt a new service in 2018 lol I used to drive for them back when they started back in 2003. They use the M1 motorway between Wetherby and Leeds and then the M621, M62 and M60 into Manchester. M56, M6 to Birmingham

hi my friend. i am going to tak in novemeber and your videos have been a great help for me. I already have a few places marked out on google earth fo where i want to go and i haven an idea of the area, so thank you. Could i ask the price of booze there in the bars, restuarants? i drink lager normally. i just ask because you mention at one hotel it is £4 per pint. Also is there any nice relaxing bars, something suitable to chill out 6-10pm ish and enjoy a drink. If you could help me out that would be fantastic. Thank you and happy travels.

Looks like a very nice ride. I biked trough Isaan , then over the border in Cambodia to Anlong Veng. They had to call the officer on duty to come to work and stamp my Visa, so busy was that border.... hehe . Much nicer then all the chaos at the Poipet border. Will have look at your other videos now.
