    Rear iron is backwards, always keep your optic on the receiver (unless you have a monolithic upper like an LMT or something else). You ran less than a box of ammo and you're already making judgments on the longevity of the lower? Torque your handguard back to spec. This is a prime example of why cheap doesnt always make it worth it, even just to "try it out". Invest in your gear and it'll take care of you as it should.

    First thing I do before trying a new AR is to make sure that the handguard is lined up and tight before my first shot. I have seen many handguards come loose. Second thing is to never install an optic in the front rail especially in between the receiver and the barrel rail. I don't have any experience with the AR polymer lowers however, I feel much better using the aluminum lowers. I'm sure that after this experience, you will be fully prepared for your next range trip. Good luck and good shooting!

      When test firing a brand new firearm, always start with a couple of mags that are only loaded with a single round. Not only is it a failsafe in case it goes full brrrt mode, but your bolt should also lock open on an empty mag and it's best to test that feature as soon as possible. Lastly, if for some reason it does fail catastrophically, at least you're not risking explosion with a full mag.

    As I continued watching I see that you are trying to wrap your thumb around the button like I said to do but you want it wrapped around prior to using back tension. So get it seated behind your thumb and then start pulling through your shot. That’s why setting the trigger colder will help you not accidentally set off the trigger. But all in all it’s definitely progress in the right direction 👍🏻 good job

    I know you said you’re pulling the bow apart but you want to do that slowly and evenly with your thumb deep behind the button and as you separate the bow it will fire. I know I told you to check out John dudley but you should also check out Joel Turner and his SHOT IQ process. It’s going to take some time to get it down just stick with it

  • @Huntfishtrapgather
    @Huntfishtrapgather 20 дней назад

    You’ll get there! I think you’d really benefit from a hinge release to help you with proper back tension. You really gotta try to not move that thumb at all. Having that button set hot like that is just going to keep setting you up to punch the trigger. This might be something you want to work on next off season if you are accurate punching the trigger then go with that for this season but target panic is just going to get worse with time. Good luck this year 👍🏻

    • @TheRookiePredator
      @TheRookiePredator 20 дней назад

      I can agree there. Im going to focus on slowing the thumb down and not ripping the bow apart. I never plan on taking a shot over 25-30 yards at most for this year. I would hate to wound anything. Next off season I can really focus and nail down a form or give a hinge a try.
