One of my favourite Mozart piano concertos, played here with such style. The Evergreens were on top form, playing with their usual combination of delicacy and musicality. And the soloist - wow! - I've seldom heard - or seen - a pianist play with such a huge range of expression. Classical music at its very best. Bravo! I guess this piece must have been in the same concert as the recently uploaded Mahler 1 - in which case all I can say is I wish I'd been there.

There is something about the way this orchestra plays which borders on the magical. They grab my attention from the very start, and hold it throughout the entire piece. Beautiful playing in the quiet passages, boundless energy in the dramatic, loud ones. That was a Mahler 1 to remember. Maestro Schmalfuss looked exhausted but very happy at the end, as the audience clapped and cheered a truly magnificent performance. As someone who watches and listens from afar, my heartfelt thanks to everyone involved in making and uploading this outstanding video.

What an absolutely superb performance done with incredible style and a very powerful ending everyone associated with this concert is stellar and fantastic, Bravo !!!!!
