awesom....❤❤❤❤love it
Fantastic briefing. I'll be doing this the week after next, albeit taking a shorter route due to time constraints and the fact that I'm already in Islamabad. The detail you've given really helps with my own planning so thank you and enjoy your August trip!
Great video you have inspired me to go here thanks
I’m going in august too. Would you like yo join?
Thanks for the informative video.
Thanks for sharing
It's a good presentation see you on KG we'll start our summit push on 18th of June
Fantastic 🤩
thanks for sharing such a good orientation David, how many days it takes to summit this peak? and do you cycle between camps for aclimatization?
Wow its almost like a moving picture show
No need to add "s" to the Himalaya, a single mountain range!!!
pure info. thank you a lot
Do you have any information on the acclimatisation profile at all ? Looks like an interesting climb. Thanks for taking the time to make the video.
Welcome khosoro ganag
You are wearing a large ~ what size & weight are you?
Been there. I was not leading however 😊
Very excited to be joining David and his team for this 2024 expedition 🇦🇺
Good luck for the trip
Welcome to Pakistan and wish a best of luck for your expedition
Nice
Thanks for sharing . What kind of boots are necessary for this? Thx
Trekking boots as far as base camp, but you'd need double mountaineering boots on the mountain because of the cold.
Did this trek in 2015 with JG and it was absolutely incredible, amazing to relive it through this video!
Beautiful. Did you use your own tents?
The tents are form Jagged Globe stock, held in Kathmandu. We use a variety of tents as well as the ones in the video, including Terra Nova and Mountain Hardware tents. Due to the harshness of the environment, especially rocks and grit plus excessive UV degradation due to high altitude, we replace them frequently.
Nice video. Perhaps you could explain your reasons for turning around on Lobuche East.
Marching with folks i don’t know of wildly different abilities and acclimitization is not my idea of a good way to spend tens of thousands of dollars and two months. Its good for the guide and bad for the clients.
Lots of people would disagree! Important to have flexibility in your itinerary and not to march anywhere.
Eye roll. Another snobby alps guide who showed up 15 minutes late. Another irresponsible snob.
Will have to research the PNG summit before I leave Oz. Antartica looks impossibly expensive and dangerous because its remoteness.
Aconcaugu is windy, cold, and has little Oxygen at the top.
Been there done that :)
Second summit :) This looks spectacular.
Nice
Its an extra challenge scrambling over all the dead English climbers at the bottom.
I loved my kili climb from years ago. Did the Western Breech/Shira Plateau route Scott Fischer pioneered. Beautiful.
I wish ...
Also climbed Izta and Orizaba 3 days later.
Hi. Great video, what camera did you use to record? Go Pro? Which model? thank you !
Great info. Thank you.
Pls try nanda Devi and Kanchenjunga

Short, but really impressive video. Would you let me know your camera gear? Really good quailty on a 75 inch 8k Monitor for 1080K footage. Any ND filters in use?
ตามหาอะไร?
I am a brit who also climbed ojos in 2018. I climbed at the end of January. Thanks for the great video!!
❤️
👍
36 years ago I came over Amphu Labtsa, had camp at Mera La 5450m, it took only 4 hours to the summit and 2 down, another 2 to Thagnak. 6 days from Chucking to Lukla including Mera summit. Absolutely no tourist facilities anywhere. Nice times...
Hi! Looks great mountain! Maybe less cold than Lenin? For Khun, its possible alpine style just paying the 7000m fee but without sherpas, and without fixed ropes or in this area its mandatory go with guides and sherpas? Thanks
my next peak will be lenin peak it will be my first 7000 wish me luck :)
Hope it went well 👍🔼
Good video, but why was you desperate to get it done and get home? The highs and lows and the agony and hardships along the way is all part of it. I'm a summit freak, heights are what draw me, but it's about the journey to get there and back also. Just my view. Good vid anyway 🙂
This was the final one of the three I did way back in 1992 (when I was 46 yo) on a trip up from Belize with guys from 7 GR (Jai Seventh!). Popocatapetl hadn't kicked off by then. Brings back some nice memories - we had the mountain to ourselves on that day. Well worth a go - but the acclimatization so essential - looking at the many Videos here on RUclips there are many failures, mainly because of no previous acclimatization.
Great presentation; really informative. Thanks
Very great video. I loved it, waiting to watch more videos like these
