That is still my favorite bourbon out of all of the 100’s of bottles I own. I have 8 bottles of the Early Times BIB black cap version bunkered for retirement. 🥃

It is $25 for a liter here. Early Times was bought by Sazerac a few months ago, previously owned by Brown Forman. One of my rebuys, also the 100 proof Old Grand-Dad that is $22 for 750 ml, made in Clermont KY by Jim Beam.

thats amazing juice...but msrp is $15...i get 2 for that price...its its own brand...used to be owned by brown-forman but a few years ago was bought by sazeac

Sad that you felt pressured at Total Wine. Tell them to beat it. And don't ever buy a marketing presentation. It's all about the juice and this is way overpriced. Just but a 1792.

Elijah Craig Private Barrel picks tend to run about $10 more than EC Barrel Proof batches. Sorry you took the hit on this one, lesson learned though- just kindly decline any recommendation from Total Wine staff. You just have to exude the confidence of Ron Swanson in Home Depot: "I know more than you."

Note that for competitions, the company might sample 300 barrels and pick the one that is outstanding. For what is sold at stores, they likely just mixed the 299 barrels that did not taste as good for a blend, and if selling a single barrel whiskey they might pick the best 1 out of 50.

Did your total wine try to get you with the whole “if you love blantons” bit? Every time I walk into total wine they always try to say the chestnut farms is blantons. I have to get a little snarky with them cause I wouldn’t pay $120 for a bottle of blantons. And I think the single barrel chestnut farms is like $250. Many other whiskeys I’d prefer to that. Cheers!

It is a beautiful bottle but it’s the juice that really counts. You could get the 1792 BIB $40 to $50 and be as well off. Liquor Barn has their own 1792 brand called Flatboat. It comes in a bottle very similar to the Rock Hill Farms bottle. Pretty good, I got the full proof

I am from Da Bronx....Kings County Whiskey is also in Brooklyn...this is just sitting on the shelves here.in Florida for $87

It comes out every fall and around me at the Jersey shore it's in most of the stores. I have the 2022, 2023 and 2024. Usually between $80 and $90.

People complain about the price of Bourbon but don't understand the cost of producing it, utilities- labor-bottles-barrels- equipment-rent- raw materials- taxes on barrels 😖 I'm surprised it doesn't cost more 🤔 When you visit a distillery you can get a better picture of what is Involved with the production of Bourbon 😉👍💯
