Such a nice video. Very well explained the tactics - even the fishing structure was shown on Echolo - that's very good! A video for the summer months would be really cool - where do you look for the pike in the warm season ? What technique do you use ? Would be nice to see you in "action". 😊 Thank you very much and more videos please - best regards from Germany

Thanks for video . Could you please provide more details around scenarios when you use baitcast reel 200 vs 300 sizes . Does it depends on lure size only ? One more point is gear ratio , any suggestions. Thanks a lot and waiting for videos around salmon fishing from shore .

Thanks 👍🥰 I could easilly go with the 200 size for all my fishing situations. The smaller reel fits better in my hand. It also work for really heavy baits. But there are some situations were the 300 is preferable. With a 200 fishing Big pike you need your tumb for proper hooks set - the break is not enough. In cold conditions and with gloves this is tricky and then the 300 with the huge drag capacity is perfect. Also when I fish areas with lots of structure like sharp rocks and sunken lumber I use the 300 with thicker braid. Normally in a 200 0.28 is maximum but with 300 you can go much thicker. I also prefer the 309 casting heavy baits in hard wind. Gear ratio for me is not important. I feel the tension from the bait and after all years casting I automaticly adjust. This is one of the key elements in pike fishing. To be able to retrieve the bait correctly in every situation like wind, drifting boat e.g

In 2022 my wife joined me and my buddy in his boat for her first fishing trip EVER and caught a perch just over a kilo on dropshot on the small grub in that Mud Blood color (in a lake where me and my friend have only 4 kilo+ fish combined during the last three seasons).

Är jag på ett sånt ställe har jag som längst suttit 6 timmar i samma hål med en 1600 plus som störst. Men i regel alltid ca 10 min eller mer. 👍😃

Wonderful baits. Got the 15cm in Rainbow trout, trout and gold perch. Really nice baits. Good quality and has a nice wobble on the retrieve. Will be used plenty in spring together with the 16cm Minnow SR. Odd that they havent been more popular than they are as they do the shit you want. Maybe because it is a genre of baits that has gone out of fashion. Like them for the times i dont want to jerk or want a break from jerking and want to keep on with hardbaits instead of softbaits.

Magforce-Z is centrifugal controlled magnetic brake. It has centrifugal weights that rotates against slope, which creates axial force as a result. Force is against spring force. As axial force increases to bigger than spring force, inductor starts to move out, this is called as activation revolutions. Because of rapid spool acceleration (and moreover to the frictions because of acceleration), inductor moving to out is very fast. Right? In sv spool inductor is attached to spool by twisting inductor ramp. In the beginning of cast magnetic brake torque in the inductor ramp is nearly 0, because spool has just begun to turn. But in the beginning of cast spool acceleration is very rapid, inductor tends to twist until it’s fully twisted, because of momentum of inertia of inductor. This happens in the very beginning of cast because acceleration is fastest in the beginning of cast. Twisting inductor pushes inductor to be extended. Right? But in the video is shown in 1:17 that both style inductors rises gradually about during ¼ cast, which isn’t possible. Right? …Twisting inductor rises very rapidly and Centrifugal inductor doesn’t need much more time to rise. Also in video is shown gradual landing of Z inductor (in 2-stage in case of BOOST system). But in the video is shown gradual movement of sv spools inductor, which can’t be correct, because when movement of it begins, it can’t find balance point before it has went to next point (like Z style balances centrifugal forces vs. spring force). Right?
