old age is starting to kick you in the hips eh? With a truck like that now, your Alberta playground just got alot bigger... and that is why there are so many dual sport riders in your areas. I used to carry a spot beacon back when cell coverage was less than it is now. I never bothered to air my tires down unless I was heading deeper off the main track... but for a well travelled location, I never found it worth it.

You forgot some tinfoil wrapped potatoes that you could have tossed into the campfire to cook. Mrs used to get mad at me for eating better when I camped, than I did at home... cast iron makes everything better.

I'm not a vegetarian by any means, but I think the ration "vegi" sausages are better than the alleged "pork" ones. That hot diggety dog sauce does have a bit of a twang to it. Lovely stuff. The contents look identical to the old style boxed rat packs.

Well, after all, they are MRE's. They're not supposed to be "cuisine," just calorie suppliers. My favorite part(s) was him reacting to the hot sauce. He & I would never survive a hot sauce challenge (ok, HE wouldn't).

I’ve had a few American MREs and the Peanut Butter is always my favorite item. It’s as close to what they used to serve in grade school (elementary) when I was a kid.

Great videos! … I made some window covers from reflectix that I put Velcro strips on. I place them over the glass on all four sides and I use camo moving blankets from harbor freight to insulate the bed walls and floors. All of this makes it much warmer and greatly reduces the noise I make shifting around. I’ve slept comfortably down to 5 degrees Fahrenheit with only a 20 degree down top quilt … This setup keeps my truck bed, a truck bed.

Thank you for your service. Retired USN Submariner traveling solo in a 22 Jeep Gladiator Max Tow and a Rightline SUV tent with a tri-fold bed cover tillI make or find a topper. Nice to be able to set up tent first and sleep in tent without having to unload back of truck.

Great idea for a show! I retired after 30 yrs in the CAF and have the same truck. I'm in Ontario and have made the 5 day drive to BC a number of times. Looking forward to more episodes!
