Hei there. I am actually thinking of making a follow up video about mtb and j pouch. Not sure how many people find this helpful though. 🤷 Anyway, i feel ya, lost a lot of weight too before and between the surgeries. Looked like skin and bones. In my case, i tried to get back on the bike as fast as possible and was not afraid to do downhill etc. Even if you fall, you wouldn't rip anything out. The worst case, rip the bag off (never happened to me) or even worse, handlebars straight to stoma. But to do that i guess u have to be veeeery "lucky". 😬 For the first year after the j pouch (basically every surgery, had 5 in total) its hard to keep the energy levels. Use vitamins n electrolytes 👍🏼 there a lot to say, for long story short, it has been good. Im lucky without no complications and am able to do lots of extreme stuff 😁 rope jumping for example. Would be hard with stoma, but i have used the harness with the stoma so not a big deal.

Some other things to mention, medication that i had to use messed with my mind and thinking. Brain fog etc and still havent fully recovered. Annoying as hell. With stoma, the bag got full fast if I ate 1 to 2 hours before the ride. Now with J pouch is so good, just take a dump before the ride 😅 , take loperamid or something similar(we have to use strong stuff, cuz normal ppl hardeners dont do nothing for us) and i can ride in the mountains for 3-4-5 hours 👌 but still struggling with energy levels. Or maybe Im just getting old, hard to say 😁🤘🏼

Currently i don't take medication even though my doctor suggested to start a biological agent Hulio is the name of the drug but the potential side effects prevent me from starting. As for the bar to the stoma 😂😂 i don't know if it is dangerous but i wouldn't want to happen even if i didn't have a stoma but almost did in one of my first attempts to get back to the saddle somehow i managed to avoid hitting my stomas (have 2) and took a light hit in my abdomen right in the middle. I was sore for a few days like i did a lot of sit ups. Anyway it's nice that you're doing well you seem like you rip stay strong 💪 buddy.

To learn jumping and getting confidence doing tricks, indoor is a good option. For example The Spot Center in Riga, or Klikk in Sigulda. For riding dirts, Ogrez Zilie Kalni has a nice selection of dirts for DJs 🤘🏼

I agree, spokes are incredibly easy to loosen. Probably my first and last straight pull spoke wheel. Does you hub (if its 370 LN) have a lot of free movement too?

In all fairness, this was recorded in the begging of the summer, and they since had some mtb event and might have gotten the trails up to shape. But thats just a maybe. Regardless, challenging trails
