Mostly flashlights beamshots comparisons
Sofirn SC33 (XHP70.3-Hi cool-white) vs Wurkkos TS23 (XHP70.3-Hi) beamshot compare
left: Sofirn SC33 (XHP70.3-Hi cool-white)
vs
right: Wurkkos TS23 (XHP70.3-Hi)
Both flashlights use XHP70.3-Hi LEDs, the SC33 has cool-white and neutral-white options. No option listed for the TS23 as of the moment, but it appears to be cool-white.
Both use a single 21700 battery, and operated by an electronic tailswitch.
Basically similar flashlight other than that the TS23 has a bigger diameter head/reflector, resulting in a more throwy beam.
I find the TS23's beam is a good combination of flood with some amount of throw.

Sofirn SF26 (SFT40, TIR) flashlight beamshot
Просмотров 7807 месяцев назад
Sofirn SF26 uses SFT40 LED and a TIR optic (similar to the Wurkkos TD01). Both SF26 and TD01 are powered by a single 21700 battery, has USB-C charging port for built-in charging. Difference between SF26 is that the SF26 uses a tactical tail paddle switch to operation, whilst the TD01 uses a tail side button switch for operation.
Wurkkos TD01 (SFT40, TIR) beamshot
Просмотров 1817 месяцев назад
The Wurkkos TD01 uses SFT40 LED, uses a similar TIR optic as the Sofirn SF26 and powered by a single 21700 battery. Basically this is a very similar to the Sofirn SF26 flashlight, other than it has different controls. (Whereas SF26 uses a tactical tail paddle switch operation), the TD01 uses a tail side button to operation. Both flashlights include a USB-C port for built-in charging.

This demonstrates the "new" tactical mode added in later revision of Anduril 2 firmware (shown is a Wurkkos TS11 with firmware 2023-05-30). The new tactical mode, activated via 6C from Off (6-clicks while in Off mode, with the flashlight set to Advanced UI mode), can be exited by clicking 6C again (or unscrewing the tailcap / disconnecting the battery). Convoy L21B (SBT90.2, "5000" lumens) beamshot

Convoy L21B (SBT90.2, "5000" lumens) beamshot A recent variant of the L21B now has SBT90.2 LED, and is powered by 1x 21700 battery. Convoy lists it uses "18 Amp / FET", when I measured the tailcap current, I got around 20-21 Amps using a Samsung 40T, so that's over the "18 Amp" mentioned by Convoy) Notable difference is that the tailspring uses a double-spring (compared to the L21B with Osram o...

The Samsung 30T 21700 (button-top) would also be comparable. [Using a clamp meter, I got around 45 Amps (x2 batteries) at the tail, although I may still be measuring a bit low since my copper wire shunt may not be thick enough]

What good EDC Keychain flashlights has this led SFT 40?
Let there be light
Ts23 doesn't have strobe
@@adisabtu2110 TS23 has strobe mode via triple-click, per my testing.
did you measure the lumens from 5 metres ? i would know this so i get some data about the candela, i could know the difference then
@@TonyMontana-xj3zv I used a lux meter, at 10 meters distance. Calculated beam distance for the 3X21B (3x XHP70.3-Hi 5000k) is around 625 meters For comparison, I also did measure the Convoy 3X21A (3x SFT40), which has a calculated beam distance of around 1000 meters, using my lux meter at 10 meters calculations. The Lumintop PK21 (single XHP70.3-Hi) has a calculated beam distance of 1150 meters, using my lux meter/10 meters.
doesn't look like the 3 x xhp70.3 emitters are on their MAXIMUM performance, i have the 4x18A with Single xhp70.3 emitter and it goes similarly like on this vid. To much heat with 3 of them, power not unleashed.
@@TonyMontana-xj3zv Nope I don't think Convoy 3X21B pushed these XHP70.3-Hi LEDs much as Convoy tends to be quite conservative. The Lumintop PK21 (single XHP70.3-Hi, uses 2x 21700 batteries) on the other hand, does push the single XHP70.3-Hi LED quite hard. As it indicates up to 8000 lumens with a single LED. The 3X21B with 3x XHP70.3-Hi, based on other reviews can reach something like 14000 lumens more or less. So each XHP70.3-Hi is just giving an easy 4000-5000 lumens.
@@dta8437 Yeah maybe can reach but for how many second until stepdown?😅 This light is to small to have 3 x Xhp70 inside, my convoy 4x18a with single 70.3hi steps down about after 6-7 minutes. Single LED on a big light like this is enough to have great runtimes and 5k lumens. I had the sofirn q8 plus with 6 LED, Turbo only for 50 second, steps down so fast to low lumen value, i sold the light after some days. Also got a convoy with single SBT90.2 led, this is a beast of throwing. Even on 30-50% Power, it throws 500 meters easy on half output. In my opinion multi-LED flashlights are just money waste, you pay for the led's and the runtimes are disappointing.
That looks (and "sounds") like a helicopter search light 😁👍
This or ts30 wich is best?
@@watzegjemedaarnouvan TS30S Pro and DL70 are different flashlights. DL70 designed for diving (only has a few brightness levels) and has very high max brightness (wide beam). TS30S Pro designed as a regular more handy size (but still big head) flashlight, and designed more for farther beam distance.
GTFC40 is slightly more magenta and the XHP70.3 HI is slightly more green.
Yes agree 🤝
Какой рефлектор на sst40 и какой на sft40?

too bad they didnt make the reflector orange peel... so that the beam would smooth out

@@lakasund Thanks
Was trying to decide between these two. Just like the other commenter I wanted warm but 2700k is too warm for me. Thanks for the demo!
Wont it be dangerous for a human eye if He is just 10 feet away
yep, so good for self defense against criminals specially if combined with other tools.
It's been a few years and some very nice new emitters have hit the market, but I still love the 219C. It's just a nice functional emitter with good CRI and tint and a great beam profile, be it in a reflector or a TIR. Back in this day it was a much safer bet than the SST20 with its wild tint lottery tending for high positive duv values. It walked so the 519A could sprint.
@@DinnerForkTongue that's true.. although I'm more neutral with regards to the Nichia 219C since I've experienced 219C with acceptably good tint, but have also encountered some that have a not-so-nice greenish tint. But perhaps as you said, it paved the way for the 519A..
@@dta8437 I'll defer to you on the 219C tint lottery experience. I only got one from Convoy and its duv is pretty much perfectly neutral, bordering on slight negative. Absolutely beautiful emitter.
и что за мигание? нахрена это?
Lah mana cahayanya bang
How's the tint on these? I like CRI but there's been talk that the tint on the R9050 is a lot worse than the tint on the R70.
@@DinnerForkTongue for the several XHP70.3-Hi R9050 that I have tested, some of them may be slightly more greenish compared to the R70 variant. However, I find it to not be that bad when not comparing. The slightly greenish may vary a bit from sample to sample, but it's not as bad as the greenish tint of many SST40 LEDs.
R9050 in 4 I have is DUV +0.0004 and up (one is 0.0009 ,crazy green 5000k) , R70 from -0.0001 if you are crazy lucky and get a great bin ( 4 of 5 are +0.0004 and up) . The point is , CREE is almost always green :)
@@dskikods What keeps me from buying Cree in a nutshell. I can take very mild green as long as the CRI is high, such as some batches of FC40. I think I'll get the SFT70 instead.
Thanks for taking your time doing the beamshots. Really helpful for potential buyers!
Nice video! How far the beam, sir? Some say 600m, 800 and others 1000m or more!!!
If I do candela calculation at 10 meters using a lux meter, I'm getting around 1300+ meters calculated max beam distance.
The beam profile for both have too many rings?
I think more ringy pattern for the SST40. In my limited experience, triple or quad SST40 tend to produce overlapping beam pattern depending on the reflector type.
yeah, big punchy hotspot of the ts23 thanks dta
oh my i can see this getting me into trouble. 😂
It seems the 4000K is too warm. The color is pinkish.
Some 219C 4000k can be pinkish, per my experience. Or at least appear pink when in a side by side comparison with another color temperature light.
Faça a comparação da nova lumintop 1800 lumes odc mini
I got the TD01C, Regulated Buck Driver. It lasts more on higher modes ✌️✌️
Đèn pin nào tốt hơn??
How much size difference between the two?
pretty big difference, since the X9L is like a bigger size EDC flashlight (still pocketable), whereas the TS30S is bigger than a "C8" size flashlight and not pocketable (unless very big pockets). X9L = 40mm head diameter, 124mm length TS30S = 55mm head diameter, 155m length
👍👍👍👍👍
I don’t recommend to buy updated D10. It is my favourite flashlight. But the new version has annoying noise
Convoy s2+👍
how long keeps the High and Turbomode? u have some runtime graphic? thx
Where is the difference between 219c and 219b?
The difference is a bit subtle here. 219C can reach a bit higher max brightness than 219B. 219B tends to be a bit more "rosy" color, while 219C may have tendency to be slightly greenish. In this sample, I think the 219C looks ok - not that greenish.
@@dta8437 Ok thanks. But think you couldnt say anything about the tint in general. I have a 519A with a slightly greenish tint but I have seen other reviews where theirs have a rosy tint. I also have to different Crees with 4000k and slightly rosys tint but the cool white on Crees rather tend to be greenish.
@@Gieszkanne there's of a "tint lottery" if no specific "LED part number" indicated.. I've gotten 219C 5000k (on other flashlights) that look greenish, and some that look OK (not rosy, but not that greenish). For 219B, it seems there's a less tendency to be greenish (I've not had too many 219B though, but I've gotten a few that are very rosy, and a few that are just slightly rosy). But overall, 219B tend to be more rosy than 219C, as per my experience. The same can be said for 519A. But in general, at least for me, the 519A isn't as greenish as the average 219C, but not as rosy as 219B. Personally, I think I like the E21A 4500k/5000k. They're just more 'pure neutral', not greenish and not too rosy.. Again though, it just might be tint lottery..
Tayuman?
Yes very near there. Although soon there will be a high-rise.. will need to find somewhere else nearby for beamshot testing..
I couldnt see any color temperature difference.
What the difference in these two, R70 or r9050?
R70 refers to having a Color Rendering Index (CRI( of 70. R9050 refers to having a CRI of 90 (50 is how well it renders the red color). Higher CRI means it renders the color more closely to natural sources of light such as the sun or a candle or an incandescent bulb.
If I JUST bought a TS11 from Amazon, from the Wurkkos storefront, will it be the upgraded firmware version with the strobe? I REALLY want the strobe but might have screwed myself. plus, what's the best batteries to use for this light? I want to use both 18350 and 18650
As far as I know, at this time (November 2023), the TS11 from Wurkkos still uses the 2022 firmware. You'll need to have the firmware updated by using a firmware updater kit (or find someone near your area who has it). Updating is not difficult, but will need the updater kit. You may check out the BudgetLightForum for more details.
@@dta8437 hm. Okay. Thanks.
Which one is brighter to your eyes?
Nice performance, but nowhere near its claimed 260k candela performance. Measured closer to 150k. That's too much of a discrepancy for my liking.
Gt-fc40 ❤
is your sft40 have ring outside the spot in actual?i dont see in the video
Some S2+ / S15 with SFT40 may have a ring pattern. Depends on the batch of reflector used.
Hi! Is this brighter than the Nicron N8F?
Unfortunately I don't have a Nicron N8F. However checking specs indicates that the Nicron N8F uses a "Cree" LED (which specific Cree LED is not specified) and lists 800 lumens on specs. The N81 uses a "Samsung" LED (and by doing some observation on the N81, it appears to be a Samsung LH351B (different from LH351D) and lists 700 lumens max on specs. The N81 supports 18650/14500 battery as well as regular AA (1.5v) battery with included adapter. The N8F does not seem to list compatibility with AA 1.5v battery.
