This is so Informative! great overview of life in Dubai for those considering or confused with their move.

Come to dubai if you want to live like a slave, get discriminated on the basis of your nationality, be treated like a second class citizen, earn a salary that is not enough to meet the cost of living therefore you should live like some pauper or say way below your means to a point where your health gets affected. If you want BP, diabetes or even cancer move to Dubai. Sorry dear but the cons of living in Dubai outweigh the pros. Dubai is only for the rich and privileged. And the biggest con about living in Dubai you cannot criticize the government, if you do you can get jailed or even killed, you cannot speak against Islam too. There is no freedom of speech in Dubai nor democracy. Better to pay taxes and stay at home at night than to live in a golden cage. Nothing is more valuable than one's freedom and dignity. By the way i haved lived in dubai over 25 years so you can't say I'm making this up. And I'm so happy and relieved to have left.
