and yet the school/board still employs Principals like Ms Ward that protects her male teachers like Pat McInerny from misconduct allegations based upon their "friendship" and extra curricular activities outside of school.

Did anybody else have to complete this program (3 long years) in order to graduate highschool? 😕 During highschool the principal would give me my diploma but then I had to give it back later & sign papers saying I agree going to transition plus. Did you have to go through the same embarrassing\degrading thing in front of the whole school? I hope this program changed it's rules since cause this was not fair. Like we weren't depressing enough. I even felt bad for the teachers cause they had to lie about it when the kids asked. More degrading than spitting in their face.

WARNING FOR THE DEPRESSING TEENS IN SPECIAL ED AT EAST VIEW HIGHSCHOOL IN APPLE VALLEY MINNESOTA: You can not graduate unless you agree to joining transition plus. You will finally get your diploma AFTER you complete this 3 long year program. This is a secret that teachers will never tell you & are made to deny when asked about it. Trust me I know, I used to work at east view highschool. I hope they don't require it anymore though, it's not fair to surprise kids like this especially since we were taught to LIE about it!! It's also embarrassing for the poor kids. They collect their graduation things in front of the school & celebrate for a few hours then have to give it back to their teacher later. I felt sooo bad for them, everyone would laugh & call them losers & call us (the teachers\staff) teasers\liars. This is one of the reasons why I ended up deciding this isn't the best career choice for me anymore. I couldn't live with my shit self knowing I will have to LIE to children's faces. It's the type of children I had to do it to is what killed me. These kids are already abused & lied to all the time. I WILL NEVER BE A PART OF THAT AGAIN!!!!!! I'm not even sure if I can ever forgive myself for doing such a mean thing. I went through it myself only to be taught to put children through the same thing. The ultimate disrespect & insult. Worse than spitting in their face.
