I normally don't go for modern metalcore because let's face it, most all of it sounds alike these days. But as usual, leave it to the Japanese to reinvent it and make it sound fresh and interesting again. Umehara-san ("U") is pretty amazing and I like how the clean singing on this song elevates it and adds extra emotion, mood, and intensity instead of sounding weak and forced like it usually does with American bands in this field. Umehara-san's @youself channel is a lot of fun to follow, too--I've been jamming her MTH cover hard all day and loving it. Good show, y'all!
