I have someone wanting a commercial license for a toy I have on MakerWorld and Printables. I’m thinking about charging a percentage of profit from tier sales. Is this a good idea and what would be a good percentage?

I have really been looking into this same thing. can you talk more about the filter for it? that is what has stopped me from getting a laser because i don't want to cut a vent in my new home.

I am just an amateur but this tool is going to be great. I did find playing around with it that it did not let me save a model unless I added a other supplies cost which I wanted to do at 0 just for testing.

Im 11 and i own a CR10 S5 and ive started selling stuff at school, made around 200 bucks, my cr10 s5 is terrible at small prints and i need a print that is good at that in the 200 dollar range what one should i chose? im also expanding the business to online with a couple buddies of mine who own ender 3s and a1 minis, should i start my business on shopify or etsy and how can i advertise it? what should i sell and should the next printer be FDM or resin?

Been printing for years but never as a business, more like the coworker who provides everyone with desk items for their phones and such but now just ordered a Bambu P1s to start a side line business and definitely will be looking into your membership plans to get started, thanks Sam.

I am 69 and have been retired from a CNC machine programming, Machinist, Solidworks Cad designer for abot 2.5 years now. I just purchased a Bambu Labs A1 with the AMS Lite. I want to a little money to offset my SS income. I come across your video and really liked hat you said. Is it really that simple. I am interested in as much information as i can soak up. what platform would you recommend for starting out on a print farm?

My question is, as a startup, do I print on demand or do I print on bulk to be ready to supply? Amazing video man!

My seven-year-old has been saving up for a 3-D printer. He really wants to start a 3-D printing business at seven years old. What was the first printer you started with? I was thinking about getting the bambu mini but now I think it might be best to get the bambu A1 and does he need the AMS Combo to start. He has saved up $300.00 so far mostly from doing a lemonade stand this summer. Should he save more to get the bigger printer?

I appreciate this video. I have an eBay store that is already five stars on all transactions since we used to do resale and took customer service seriously. I've already ordered an A1 combo, I chose that for the price point along with being able to do multicolor. I held off on the filament since I wanted to choose the best one for the best value and you helped with that. The last step I had to figure out was finding designs to print to sell. Your designs you license out solves that last problem 🙂

A great tool, a few things... -Prices are in Dollars. I'm UK so GDP.. but allowing custom currencies will be great. I don't actually think it's anything other than the symbol for costs/profits etc. -Mouse hover on acronyms.. COGS "Cost of Goods Sold" -Change business name... I did a typo and cannot edit -Export to csv for 3D models -Sort by cols... click on the headers (profit/sku etc) and see the most/least profitable parts. None are really critical, but I can imagine for a newbie a few acronyms could be explained better. I also can't see it selecting my (single) filament anywhere in the part configuration. COGS has $0 for filament yet I've provided $15 for 1kg

I agree with your thought process that there isn't really a need to go with a printer that isn't self-leveling. In today's market with all of the advancements in 3D printing, they're just really isn't a need to have something that isn't self-leveling and user-friendly out of the box. I don't agree with the idea that there are only two types of people in the 3D printing world. I feel that there are those that enjoy the hobby and like to design or create things without the need to sell or profit them. I feel like those people benefit just as much from a higher end printer that has self-leveling and other features. Overall, I really liked your video.

Its sooooooo oversaturated on Etsy. Make things for practical use in automotive, aerospace etc. Basically companies/businesses who design their own products but need printing access.

I think there are other alternatives to the bamboo such as the flashforge 5 m Adventure or even the flashforge 5 m pro seems to be pretty good

I'm a 3D-designer and engineer, have worked over 20 years in the automotive industry in the area of product development.....left it 2019. Now I'm ready to go full throttle in my own business. The only conserve I have is what kind of products should I print and sale so that I can live from this business!?! And you are totally right. You need not such a lot of money to start this business. 👍
