Car clubs are often seen as being the sole preserve of owners of old or classic cars. But when the Volvo Owners Club was formed in 1962 it was to cater for owners of those 'newfangled' cars from Sweden which had just started to arrive in the UK. The club now caters for all Volvo cars from the oldest, a 1928 OV4, to the current production Volvo cars. In 1972 the Club became a Limited Company by Guarantee. The Club maintains good relations with Volvo, but is not affiliated to them in any way.

We issue 6 full colour A4 magazines each year with back issues available on the web site. Membership is for 12 months and gives access to many benefits such as discounts at Halfords, Shell fuel, insurance and at Volvo dealers for parts and cars, and more. We hold rallies and meetings in various parts of the country which are open to non members wanting to know more about the Club. We also have a Motorsport section. Twice a year we have a stand at the Classic Car shows at the NEC, Birmingham.
