"Clarinet Thing No. 1" - for Clarinet Quintet
This is actually great! Wish I had a quartet to play it with :( I just know it would sound so good with actual trombones playing it
Thank you! I hope you can find a quartet sometime; playing in one is an unmatched experience.
It’s really cool, but I can see it getting really repetitive to play. It’s one hell of a banger though
@@padricsullivan6271 Thanks! I'll keep that note in mind, that's an interesting point.
its giving gen5 music
I had to look it up, but wow you're so right
may i suggest a bass clarinet and flute/piccolo duet??
I'll allow it :)
One of my favs!!❤
Nice!
I really enjoyed that!

Its like this was posted for me, right as I start looking for new trombone pieces, this pops up out of nowhere. Sounds very cool 👍
That's awesome! Glad you like it.
This is sick, slide monsters vibe
@@BrodySchoonMusic Thank you! They're definitely an influence for me, as they should be for any trombonist-composer
🤘🤘
Fire 🔥
man I have got to try this
Wish you luck!
Came across this video in my recommended page and really enjoyed listening to your work! Thank you for composing!
Well thank you for commenting! That's very kind of you.
This is sick Robert! Super excited to hear your compositions :)
Some frequent places to inhale would make this more believable. Any human who tries to play this will figure that out in a heartbeat.
That part at measure 6 that repeats throughout the piece where the same arpeggio is played with a different bass note goes so hard, great work overall!
This is awesome, is there a transposition for Tenor or is that homework
Hey, thanks for the comment. That'd be homework for now, as I didn't think this would suit a tenor very well, but it wouldn't take very long to have a tenor version out on my website, if that's wanted. Otherwise, I figured I'd just make sure I write something specifically for tenor sometime in the future.
Holy hell this is amazing. I’m gonna transpose it for Horn and give it a shot 😂 This is incredible!
Thank you! I'm genuinely super curious how that will sound on horn.
I absolutely love contemporary music! I'm not a trombonist but your use of ascending and descending intervals give it the piece a really unique texture/tone. Awesome work!
How do you get the glissando sound out of NotePerformer? I use Dorico and all I can ever get is a discrete chromatic gliss.
I don't have a great answer for you, unfortunately. I use Sibelius, and from what I remember, I didn't have to do anything extra for it to work (although, it is still super finnicky on Sibelius if there are tied notes or any dynamic changes).
@@robertbomarcomposer Yeah I'm afraid that's not working for me, I'll have to keep looking for a solution. Thanks anyway for the response!
it's incredible how you can compose literal random noise and people will support it just because that's what you're "supposed to do"
"Some people like this piece but I don't. They must be wrong and I'm going to put them down because of it"
@@bmjessep I enjoy it. It's garbage.
@@Whatismusic123lol, atp seeing a contemporary music video without your obnoxious critique will feel weird
This is insane. Need to print it and give it a try. Might have it down in a couple of years.
idk why but it has space opera vibes & i love it✨
lol I totally see it now that you've said that
☝️ Oh yeah, definitely
jesus christ....... I LOVE IT
I don't know how I landed here, but I sure am glad I did! I'm not a trombonist so I'm nor entirely sure why this is a challenge. Is it because the right arm runs a marathon during these 4.5 minutes? Either way, it's a pretty nice tune! Did you write it yourself?
Hey, thanks! Yes, this is my piece. The main reason this is difficult is that it demands high flexibility of range, meaning notes are shifting very fast and are very far apart from one another, which is tough to pull off accurately and smoothly. Nonetheless, it is absolutely possible to play with some work; I actually wrote it partly for myself to help improve my own bass trombone technique.
@@robertbomarcomposerBrilliantly done!
:0 post for proof????
Just stumbled across your channel. You've got some sick stuff here!
Why thank you, that means a lot!
