In this video I touchdown on Samsung washer, suspension rod repair-refurbish procedure. If done properly, this is a long lasting fix. That’s very affordable compared to replacing OEM rods. Dampening grease can be found at Ben’s appliances website: bens-appliances.com

    So I guess adding an extra spring would not help something like a 2 inch spring on top of the existing one ?

    After watching many videos this one seamed to make the most sence so I decided to give it a try. I had allready tried just adding silicone grease not knowing it was to thin and olny made it worse. So I removed the rods disassambled them and removed all the old grease with parts cleaner and a brush. Then I performed the repair as shown in the vedio using the foam pad and Bounce be gone grease. The washer is now back to new again. I think you or Bens should market the foam inserts and profit a little bit for your great veido.

      Hello, Ben has sent me some prototype inserts that work fantastic. You can expect those in the near future.

    Hey W/D, thanks for the very informative vid. My timer is advancing in all modes except the Auto Dry function so didn't think your solution would fix my issue but tried it anyway. As I suspected, the yellow motor magnet part was not broken so put it all back together. Rather than shell out money for a new timer we're just going to use the Timed Dry function. Would you have any other suggestions for a fix aside from a new timer? Thanks again for the help....Buzz Fluhart

    • @wddialedin
      @wddialedin 9 дней назад

      It may just need a new timer, contacts may be too far gone. We may also want to clean the moisture bar inside the dryer with rubbing alcohol and rag. It may not detect humidity.

    I noticed that you replaced the agitator on this machine. Any particular reason for that? The programming on these agipeller machines call for long agitation strokes and are not meant for an old school agitator with big fins like that. Just curious is all. Nice guide.

    • @wddialedin
      @wddialedin 9 дней назад

      I really can’t remember since I repair so many washers all day long. Most likely the spines were stripped on the agitator.

    It's not a "dampening rod", it's a DAMPING ROD. A dampening rod would be a rod to get something wet.

    • @Celeron_619
      @Celeron_619 10 дней назад

      It has two different meanings. To dampen can also be to make less strong or intense which is what these do, absorbing vibrations caused by the spin cycle.

  • @bibbidi_bobbidi_bacons

    Simple green degreaser or any degreaser solution would probably work well. Large pack of microfiber cloths from Costco or Sam’s Club. I suppose if one is super nasty you could use a car wash Extendo brush. Overall, I wouldn’t paint any panel that you don’t need to unless you’re changing the color just masking off everything but the panel that needs paint. Dropped flop, plastic masking tape whatever

Send them all to zero -… otherwise fantastic repair video. Absolutely love it. God forbid they use an electronic timer nearing mid-late 1900s technology level… lol wtf
