Foreman kept on turning Joe over and over and over. He was pushing Joe back and when Joe dipped or came forward that jab followed by a right hand kept him at bay. Eventually those long bombs started landing and Joe was shaken up by the power. Joe didn't know how to tie up Foreman. He kept coming forward right into Foreman's range. Tyson would have fallen the same way. Foreman would've knocked out Tyson by 4 rounds maybe sooner. Joe and Mike came forward and couldn't fight going backwards.
I always felt Joe was simply flooded with fear this fight…The promotional hype of Forman was genius..(even though he backed most of it up)…It’s almost as if the Thrilla in Manila removed Joes heart from his chest…😢… Joes chin was also suspect. YES big George was a beast with those power shots to the kidneys and face. Being hit by a Mack truck to the ribs would crumble us mere mortals. However; Joe was a Tank and should’ve been able to endure…🤦🏽♂️I believe Joe simply lost his tenacity and fire after Ali… As a Philly guy, we all love and adore him to this day, I Just believe he coulda beat this dude..
DON'T FORGET BIG GEORGE SAID DOING THE STARE DOWN HIS KNEES WAS SHAKING HE WAS SCARE OF JOE YES HE WON BOTH FIGHTS BUT THE FIRST ONE HE WAS VERY SCARE HE SAID IT.
There will never be another boxer and warrior like Smoking Joe Frazier from Philadelphia. Continued R.I.P. in heaven Joe! In my eyes you were the best boxer I’ve seen in my life of 69 years!
Frazier must have gotten paid well to take that dive. Not saying foremans not amazing. Just saying Frazier must have gotten paid well to take that dive.
Impresionante pelea!
If you listed closely in the few minutes of the fight you can hear some yelling "Stop it, stop the fight". That was Angelo Dundee, Muhammad Ali’s trainer. You can tell by the concern in his voice that he was really worried for Joe Frazier’s well being at this point.
George Foreman is probably the strongest boxer who ever fought. Ali possessed the smarts and the size to defeat Forman and with some help from the ring maintainers' the rope a dope did the trick Forman just collapsed from fatigue .
What the hell was wrong with referees back then ????!!!?? why didn't he stop the fight after the second knock down, what that wasn't good enough for him, he wants to see him go down 10 times ? crazy
Great video
Frazier let him push off too much. He should have charged him after being pushed.
He fought as valiantly as any lion in history could right before Foremans bazookas

I Only watch this fight after watching Fraser vs Ali ......

4:48 was that Forest Whitaker in the corner!?? George was a titan among men!
Nice

As awesome as Foreman was here, I came away more impressed with how Frazier just kept popping right back up.
That's what would have happened to Rocky Marciano Rockies undefeated record when it came to a Sudden halt
Don Dumphy Did A Good Job, But No One Called It Like Howard Cosell!
Camera work was atrocious even then. Close ups when you want to see the whole ring.
HBO's first heavyweight championship fight
Why joe seemed super weak on that day ?
All due respect to Joe Frazier because he was a great fighter, but he just didn't belong in the ring with George Forman that night, if any night.
71 ko es una bestia !!!!!
0:18 Foreman "dead meat"
I don’t even like boxing and that has to be one of the most memorable calls in sports history “DOWN GOES FRZIER DOWN GOES FRAZIER DOWN GOES FRAZIER”
Black on black crime.

I’m 68 not 69!

Take that dive? Take those hammer blows to the head you mean! 😂

You can really hear him in the Howard Cosell broadcast, Angelo was right near Howard's side of the ring.
Joe’s cornermen can’t even get his stool into the ring, foreman’s corner not much better but Joe needed a seat quickly after the 1 round beating.
Dude knocked Fraizer down 6 times in 2 rounds. He is really badass.

Foremans power was astonishing 😢
This was over in the 1st round😂
Well, it seems that ducking down is not the best defence against low punches...
Never seen Frazier look helpless foreman punches are stone
I believe that it was more impressive that Frazier got up every time, than all the Foreman knockdowns
5:30 “he’s gonna kill him” lol
Dr Ferdie Pacheco going hysterical there... 😂
8:44 lmao
Frazier did the Ali Shuffle albeit unintentionally... 😅
@@kaspafischer Looks like he was trying to run away and his legs said Nope
@@Steve-mp7by Smokin Joe got smoked by Big George... 😂
THE MOST HILARIOUS TWO ROUNDS OF HEAVY WEIIGHT BOXING....
Everybody’s here after watching the Netflix video
What the hell was wrong with referees back then ????!!!?? why didn't he stop the fight after the second knock down, what that wasn't good enough for him, he wants to see him go down 10 times ? crazy
Love Joe Frazier AND George Foreman. Incredible men. When boxing was still fun to watch.
Desde la primera pelea gano ramirez
Facing either one of those is a solid 'f##k that'
Nothing but respect to Joe
