So klein ist die Welt. Da sucht man nach Hilfe zu MerK40t und trifft auf den Jens. Ist schon ein paar Jährchen her ;)
Thanks for making this. There hasn't been any decent and open source LaserGRBL alternative where you can quickly create graphics also. I really like the simple, functional and to-the-point UI. Can this be used with Creativity Laser engravers also?
Any GRBL capable laser will be compatible with Meerk40t - and if there are issues then the developer will look into it
I come from Whisperer and want to ask how do you control your power in Meerk40t. I set it psychically on my machine, lets say 15mA and if Im gonna use 1000ppi it means the output will be 15mA? So 500ppi will be 7.5mA etc? Am I right?

meerk40t homes to bottom left but my machine homes in real life to top left
@@donjuanzx9 To fully get back to default settings: a) command line: call 'meerk40t.exe --nuke-settings' b) within meerk40t: open cole and type 'nuke-settings' To change the origin: open the config window for your device (right most icon in ribbon bar) and change it

Hi Jens, I probably missed it or maybe you explain it in other video dont know. but where do you set Job ZERO not the machine zero ? I place the job on laser ok, so i need to define corner on material that needs to be cut. The corner would be the job zero. i couldn't find this moment in your videos.
If you dont specify anything else then machine zero is job zero by default. You can define the job origin if you click on the 'Job Start' icon under 'Design' in the toolbar at the top

Ich lerne gerade den Einsatz eines K40 mit MeerK4t und habe ein Problem: Ich habe immer einen kleinen Versatz von ca. 2mm nach rechts, wenn ich ein Element nach dem Gravieren ausschneide. Hast du eine Idee, woran das liegen kann? Vielen Dank und beste Grüße Pascal
Hi Pascal, difficult to answer without access to the file you use. You can go to one of the two main interaction areas with the developer team: a) Via discord (discord.com/invite/vkDD3HdQq6) - a more informal (and hence preferred) way to get support and to share data b) You can raise an issue (ie bug report) via github (github.com/meerk40t/meerk40t/issues). You want to be sure it's a bug though 🙂

Thanks for the videos! Keep them going. I'm just starting to work with my k40 and at this point I'm not even considering installing k40 whisperer.
Thanks for these videos! On the day I decided that I have to try to learn Meerk40t, you started publishing them. Looking forward to any coming videos!
I did realise during the making of this video that there were still some deficiencies around the snap to element functionality - these have been addressed in the meantime and will become part of the next release
