You know, I know people really dislike this patch, and while I can't say it was the most amazing thing out there, I really appreciate what this patch did for some of the lore and just having a lot more character moments. I'm also biased as a massive Boothill fan, but this really feels like they mashed two character missions together and I can't say I'm complaining - I really wanted them to start integrating character stuff into the canon storyline because I can tell you I was PISSED that Argenti's wasn't canon 😂 Also it's nice to see someone else fawning over baby Boothill, I wanted to CRY when I heard and saw him, so baby. I'm really curious as to what allowed Boothill to resist the reversion, but based in what I've seen of his Mission descriptions (i didnt read them myself ive relied on other streamers 😅), reverting Boothill also dragged up some... Less than pleasant memories. I love the slow dropping of his voice, as if he's slowly aging up until the point he reverts to his adult and current iteration.
100% agree!! i was expecting a more lighthearted patch but i honestly really like what we got. character-driven plots and emotional moments are SO good imo. loved that we got to see rappa's backstory and even boothill introspection. auuugh baby boothill!! i loved the voice acting too - that subtle shift was absolutely perfect so glad to see this patch resonated with others too!!!
