Horsetooth Falls Loop
Super fun and easy hike at Horsetooth Mountain Park just outside Fort Collins, Colorado. Entry fee is $10 per vehicle per day, and annual passes are available. We did the Horsetooth Falls Loop, totalling 3.2 miles. 5,735 feet minimum elevation and 6,229 feet maximum elevation. The majority of the trail is lined with pine trees and there are some nice wide views as well. I would highly recommend this hike to anyone. Later, we stopped at JJ's Wood Fired Pizza for lunch, and enjoyed it thoroughly.

Down By The River
Просмотров 2114 дней назад
Checking out a local wildlife spot and testing out some filming techniques while I'm at it. Not too much rhyme or reason to this one, just a nice walk through the woods down by the river. I used 3 different "cameras". The Nikon Z7II, DJI Osmo Pocket 3, and the Google Pixel 7 Pro. The audio straight out of the Osmo was definitely the worst. It does have raw audio files, so I will have to utilize...

Exploring the Lower Tongue River Canyon

For this adventure we made our way to the Tongue River Canyon in the Bighorn Mountains of Northern Wyoming, USA. A gorgeous area with plentiful wildlife and tons of caves. Devil's Backbone Open Space - Awesome Geological Features

This time, my friend Brian and I went out to Devil's Backbone Open Space in Loveland, CO. Temps were in the low 60's and just a pleasant day all around with no snakes! Adams Falls Hike near Grand Lake, Colorado
Nice little hike! Was this on Saturday? If so, I wasn't anywhere but at home editing vids!
Yes, it was gorgeous out there! Good to get editing done on those busy trail days I guess. Hope all is well!
Unfortunately this entire area just recently burnt down and for the most part put out by a recent snow storm. you got there at a good time. Beautiful place and will be again someday
@@0172wolf Yes, I have been watching that unfold, so sad. We loved our visit, even put out a smoldering campfire on the way out of the canyon!
Most satisfying vidoe 😮
@@JohnDoe-rg4ef Heck yeah man thank you! 😃💪🏻✌🏻
Crazy hike. So beauiful but also very raw with emotion.
Indeed, yeah that was super fun! 💥💯😃
What a stunning looking trail, shots are gorgeous my friend! Place looks so powerful!
Thank you kindly! Hopefully I did it some justice with our challenging lighting confitions! Places like this help let the imagination run wild. 😀🤙🏻✌🏻
I have not done a 2 car shuttle to Coyote Ridge but I did get dropped off at Devils Backbone and hiked it all the way to the entrance of Lory State Park. It gets really long there in the middle.
The route through to Coyote Ridge TH looks fun. How many miles was that?
@elevatedarchives I think around 15 miles or so. Not a huge amount of gain so it was pretty fast moving.
@@nicksangetta8874 that's solid Fuh sho. No snakes?
@elevatedarchives No snakes! Thank God. If you ever go out to Rabbit Mountain though.. watch out!
I finally got to do this one. Wow! Its simply incredible back there. We did the loop and by the time we made it around to Navajo and Partition Arches we were running out of time, so it was nice to see them in your video. We had to come down that narrow slick rock at the end. Really cool! To get to Double O you have to go over a 100 yard section of narrow rounded rock called The Spire. But past Double O there is even a harder part. We got hung up there for like 1 hour 30 minutes trying to figure it out. Scariest move I've ever done to get past it.
Thanks man and wow sounds like we really missed out on that but seems like all or any of it is superb! 😃
Cool vid! That made me want to go back to Capitol Reef.
Thanks, I felt the same way making it!
@@elevatedarchives Its just that drive through Colorado to get there.. brutal.
@nicksangetta8874 yeah, the first few hours at least, unless it's snowing.
havent heard of this arch before but it looks cool! great shots!
Hey yeah thank you it was really huge, way up in the air on the wall. Looks like there's more to explore at every stop out there!
Cool intro. I recognize a few of those locations!
Thanks man, do tell! 😀
I think I saw Copeland Falls, Mesa Arch, Hickman Arch, Coffintop and maybe Ralph Price Reservoir. Never seen that waterfall before. Wow!
Yes, yes, yes, yes, no. I have videos containing every shot
Interesting never been there
Good spot to put in your list, if you like hiking you won't regret it.
Great Video great Music
Hey thanks, glad you liked it! I cannot wait to go see everything I missed out on. Have you ever made it out there yourself?
Skyline Arch is cool. Sounds interesting to hike it from the campground.
It's not far either way, there's just so much out there to see.
I am not religious in any way shape or form but when you see beauty like this it sure makes you wonder..
It's an incredible place, hard to put it into words but hopefully the video helps!
Wow wow wow wow I love it.. The trees, even the dead ones, are to die for, or even to live for.. Just so unbelievably unbelievable..
Yes for sure they have some truly amazing dead trees out there. I made a few other UTAH videos from this trip with two more coming up. 👍🏻
Absolutely stunningly beautifully exquisitely amazingly stupendously fantastically fantastic.. If only we had views like this in the UK..
Agreed, it was absolutely insane. When you get tired of saying wow, lol 😂
Another video I found showcasing this vehicle: ruclips.net/video/x264yoOvH7E/видео.html
Wow!! Fantastic shots. Thank you for sharing.
You're welcome, have you been before?
@@elevatedarchives No I have not. I Love hiking and making videos. I would love to visit this place one day.
You totally should look into it, much more there for return trips, I am sure we'll be back! 😃
Good video
Hey thanks, I didn't get quite as much footage as I would have liked as you can only film one direction atta time! 😀
Wow! Super green out there! I did that hike during a drought year once and it looked much different.
It's so lush! The trail guy said Young's is even bushier right now and more poison ivy. So many flowers everywhere I've been this season. 😃
@@elevatedarchives I bet Young's Gulch is insane with flowers. They are everywhere! The next few weeks should be incredible.
@@nicksangetta8874 oh yeah, he said there was a ton of Columbines, too!
@@elevatedarchives Just so many hikes to do.. so little time. I bet the Fourth of July Trail is crazy right now too.
@@nicksangetta8874 never been to that one
Your video did a good job of capturing the winter run-off thanks
Great, it was kinda the objective of the last few videos. I've been wanting to see it in person, sooo amazingly powerful. It's even more impressive in person so I'm glad to hear the video did it justice. The mist plumes at all these falls is really something! 🤩 Super fun hikes, thanks for watching! 😃👍🏻
Beautiful 😍 Was this and your last waterfall hike in Colorado?
Actually no, I did another one the following week. Got rained on and broke camp in a downpour that day but the hike was great until the last mile. 😭🤣
Nice chill beats. I was gonna hike this on Sunday, but now I dont feel like I need to! Great hike!
Thanks man, it was so good! 😃 Could have stayed all day.
Enjoyed the Falls and the wildlife. Thanks for sharing 😊
You're welcome! I thoroughly enjoyed this hike, such a beautiful day!
Awesome hike! Looks like you found the Arnica gold mine. My mom has been looking for some. Its medicinal. We are going to have to try to get over there soon.
The Ranger told us that was it, tons growing everywhere!
pretty impressive water flow, nice video
Yes it was and thank you very much! 😃
Wow, that don't look lit northern Indiana. Thank you.
You're welcome! No mountains in Indiana.
@@elevatedarchives The southern part has some beautiful hills but up here its very flat. Lots of good rich soil. Thank you
Those are some violent falls. Not the ones you want to slip and fall into. Looks like a meat grinder down in those rocks.
Definitely does, that would be quite a short ride!
@@elevatedarchives I think it was last year or the one before that someone fell off and died.
That does not surprise me at all, only the one guardrail at the top.
@@elevatedarchives Plus being able to drop down and walk right up to the wet/slick edge. Freakin thing drops right off.
Cool waterfall
It was unbelievable!
Hahahaha "just look at it" 😂
Beautiful day! Great time to do the loop. At 5:38 that crazy rock is called Paul Bunyan's Boot. Looks like he shot himself.
The Cyclops?
@@elevatedarchives Yeah, my book calls that thing Paul Bunyans Boot. Looks kinda like a boot.. with a hole in it.
@@nicksangetta8874 I'm gonna stick with Cyclops Rock! 😁
Sweet shots! One day I am gonna drive Shafer Canyon Road. Looks fun. I thought I heard that is where Thelma and Louise was filmed where they launched their car off the side. I should probably google these things before commenting them.
Yeah thanks man! Looks like a memorable drive, edge of your seat type.
Awesome shots! Coloring was lookin real good. 👍
Thanks buddy!
@@elevatedarchives You went from blue skies to a snowstorm! Wow
@@nicksangetta8874 it happened so fast!
I have been there but just drove through it. No hiking. Thanks for sharing your hiking. Totally awesome 👌. Beautiful 😍. If you haven't been to the Paint Mines, just east of Colorado Springs, you should go there. They are beautiful, too. The colors you will see are awesome 😊.
You're welcome! Yes the paint mines are on my list, can't wait to get there!
Visited Hickman Bridge for the first time in October 2021. Thank you for bringing me back! (and labeling some of the features) .
Not a problem at all, I am glad you enjoyed the trip down memory lane. Awesome hike!
@@elevatedarchives If you would like to see, here is a link of a video of our hike in 2021.ruclips.net/video/0GT4og-j3Bk/видео.html
@@SeniorRVTrips great thanks I'll check it out!
What a beautiful day you got! The colors were poppin! We just got back and were not able to hike this one.. so it was cool to see it.
Aw no way! I really enjoyed it and yes it was a beautiful day. The wind was relentless the whole time but on this hike we were protected and it was toasty warm too.
@@elevatedarchives Yeah, we saw that big cliff face and it looked like you had to go up and we were like NOPE! So we drove to the southern most part of the park and did two super remote hikes that were a little flatter. But dude.. next time I am close to Hickman I am gettimg it! That looked sweet
Super easy, you guys would have no problem at all.
Love that Hike! No illegal jump from land into water that day, hehe
No way man, I can't jump that far! 😎🤣👊🏻
Awesome hike! The blue sky was poppin that day!
Oh heck yeah it was gorgeous man thanks! 🤙🏻👍🏻✌🏻
@@elevatedarchives I like how you presented the hike stats at the end. Very nice!
Yep, I was thinking about a new way and that is one great new way! Thanks bud! 👊🏻 Felt great to be walkin through the forest again.
So cool!!!
Super awesome spot for sure!
Sweet car!!
Absolutely! The sound was a nice surprise. 🤙🏻
Thanks for taking us on the journey!
Anytime!😃
Thanks for sharing your video ... I didn't realize the Wild Basin Area had so much color in the fall ... I'll have to make sure I go up there next fall for a hike ... Question ... It appeared that one sequence of video of the falls was running backwards ... Was it my imagination?
You're welcome! Yes it is quite colorful through there. That was the turnaround point so I flipped the footage! 😃
