5 things I don’t like - 2022 Indian Scout Rogue
I discuss the five things I don’t like about the 2022 Indian scout rogue so far. The seat prices I referenced in the video are based of the Indian dealership website. If you’re interested in the go cruise paddle I use it is on Amazon for under $20. This video was recorded before winter hit and I it took me a while to get around to be able to edit it.

    Would you say that the factory Rogue seat is more comfortable than the original Scout Bobber seat?

  • @giocrypt5148
    @giocrypt5148 7 месяцев назад

    Not much, but LED lights and fuel gauge would be mine for me. Aside from that maybe give it a little more clearance and inch and a half higher would be perfect.

    I have a Rogue and my 5 would be different. 1- stock headlight was very bad and I upgraded to a LED. 2- rear shocks were very harsh and I upgraded to progressive. 3- handgrips were very hard and cheap feeling so I swapped to Vans. 4- foot pegs i upgraded to some wider for comfort. 5- exhaust was too long and quiet so I modified the mufflers by cutting them down by 7" and removing the baffle plates. Bonus - like you I wanted storage so I added a solo bag. I never trust a bike fuel gauge from previous bikes not being reliable and I always use the trip mileage.

    You get used to the fuel with time, I road about 6k miles on mine so far and I know exactly when to fill up when I ride in town and out of town, I’ve also bought fuel bottles for when I hit the road, as for comfort, I’d advice to modify your saddle.

    The main thing holding me back from getting a scout is the lack of tech for the price of the bike and I know if they ever added tech it would drive the cost way up and at that point I’d have to go with a nightster even though I really don’t want to

    Nice video. I can agree with a few of your comments. I have a 2021 standard Scout. There are some things I would like to see also, but keep in mind the price point on this American made bike. If you take that amount of money, and buy a metric bike, you would maybe get the other options. One thing I learned with low fuel indicator, is any hard braking @ 1/2 tank will make it come on, making you believe you are low. Fuel must slide one way or another, and that will activate the icon. There is a fuel gauge available for the Scout (not through Indian) but pricey. I am curious how you were able to secure lifetime warranty though. Look forward to your next video.

      Sup man. I have a Harley iron 1200 and Indian scout bobber. My iron 1200 is more comfortable for long distances as you have a better seating position and has mid controls but it’s sluggish and vibrates like a hell when on a stand still. Indian scout bobber is more sporty and fast. Shocks suck ass, seating position sucks for long trips, this rogue seems to have a better seating position. I prefer the scout over the iron 1200 by a long shot.

    I feel like part of the fun is shifting through the gears. If you ride an automatic you get places just as fast, but you do very little in terms of user input and it just ends up being less fun.

    Thank you for a nice review. Could you tell me your thoughts on the 29 degree lean angle. Did you find yourself scraping the pegs more than you expected? I know the Rogue is not meant to be a canyon carver but I have read reviews of individuals who felt the short lean angle was too restrictive on curves where it wasn't expected. I want to order a Rogue but this is my only reservation from doing so. Thank you for your response.

    • @gonerogueadventure5266
      @gonerogueadventure5266 2 года назад

      I’ve ridden mine through the canyon a few times now and haven’t had any type of issues with scraping. The lean angle really doesn’t seem like much but it’s definitely more than enough in my opinion. Though I guess that really depends on how fast you want to take those curves.

    • @MPH69420
      @MPH69420 2 года назад

      I had a rebel before I bought my scout and I dragged the rebel way more often than the scout. I have 3 canyons about 10 minutes away from me and even on one of the deepest turns on there I still dont drag unless I really lean out of the corner. The second you add any body lean to a turn its really hard to drag. Couldnt be happier with the scout, maybe one or two complaints but nothing that cant be changed or switched up.
