How do you measure the speed of a Metra express train through the screen?

@@billjill4758 because of the speed it expresses I was there before I can tell the speed so I foam at it so I can tell how fast the train went through 35th but Blue Island is only 30 mph

@Nvideofilmsproductions I also like it when Metra express or deadhead trains, rapidly fly through a station, it's one of my favorite parts of railfanning, especially if the locomotive is an MP36 one because those sound the best to me, which hence the Rock Island line is my favorite.

​@@NvideofilmsproductionsYes it goes slowly because of the curve, this is why I railfan Tinley Park often, because there's no curves so it speeds on through.

The deadhead was coming earlier than expected so outbound trains were from platform 1 and inbound trains were from platform 2.

@@billjill4758 yeah that happened back in June 2022. I liked it when outbound trains pulled up at platform 1 and inbound trains pulling in on platform 2.

I like making these videos and tomorrow I might go film a ride on Metra.

I only went to Manhattan once on June 8, 2023 because I had 14 minutes until the final a.m. train came to Manhattan station to go back to Chicago.
