Falling from the sky after said transformation, An amnesia plot, Traveling to different places in this world to solve said amnesia mystery, helping its inhabitants along the way. A legend that’s connected to the final boss and/or everything happening in the story, Throwing down with legendary birds, Has a mid/late story twist that changes the whole story. A final dungeon being a borderline unfair gauntlet that has a battle against the Big Bad’s lackey just before the final boss, Has the Final Boss be a draconic beast/dark entity that feeds on negative energy and two phases. Involves a sad goodbye and the Protagonist’s transformation gets reversed, Then it’s either Pokemon Mystery Dungeon or Sonic Unleashed. There is no in-between.

I know this is a year late but it is totally possible to dodge the boss's attacks if you have the mobility for it (especially dashes), and you can optionally watch the minimap. It's very hard, but it is completely possible. It also helps to zoom out the game or play on a larger screen, I can see it being impossible on a small window.
