Great dorm! Thanks so much guys - loved the discussion. Dyl - great ideas, but more research...Loved it all.
You call that messy!
She hasn't had a ten year career - she was a junior for much of that ten years. Also, best read her story first...
Destanee Avaia has a particular story, though. There was an article in The Age about her outlining that.
Excellent analysis Alice.
Also, I think sport is interesting enough without villains. Otherwise, it's just "reality TV". But then, I'm a purist.
NO SUCH WORD AS "VERSE" !!!! Versus = preposition joining the two competitors. We must fight against the rising tide of the misuse of this word! Go forth and fight the good fight...
Criticism of fitness perfectly fair - as long as the women have the same facilities, access to trainers, opportunities to work hard on their fitness levels.
I think the Springvale Lions should go with the golden tickets.
Looking the part Alice.
Loved producing this episode. Linking up with Alice worked great in the end.
An amazing episode. How inspiring to hear from one of the original and best! And not just about the past - but so invested in today and what's coming, too. I loved it all!
Hurrah! Lesko!
Stop making games faster and faster and shorter and shorter. I prefer long form games
Love this episode
Fantastic effort guy great review
Best of luck Alice! Have the most amazing experience and come back full of ideas for the future!
Rugby has rules?
Martin loves the Golden State name! Wagnerian women's baseball!
Love watching volleyball.
Loving the positivity - but in a few years time will we still be saying these things? How many times does the wave have to rise and rise again?
What about the Trump effect though - the general diminishment of the value of women in social discourse? It worries me.
Jenni's Santa's Pantry on board.
My shelf works for crumbs.
Even with crumbs on crumbs!
Thanks, guys
Thanks for tuning in Jenni!
Well done Alice! Superstar! Don't get Vegas-fied!
Hurrah! Looking forward. Building forward.
Welcome back!
Loved all the discussion - but the focus is on big league and professional. No professionals without grass roots sports, and it's so important to keep girls and women engaged in that. So I'd like some analysis of community sport, too.
Merch! My favourite!
Can't see the Saudis putting money into WOMEN'S sport...
Alice's "stories of the year" demonstrate a great deal about her character.
Stories more interesting than the sport.
I mean - it's still a boring game, even when women play it.
Ooops - Wig whacks me! I don't like basketball, but I'm happy that it's helping advance women's sport.
I want to hear about the Melbourne Women's Baseball Tournament - the philosophy behind it, how it's run, what it achieves...
See - you don't know me! I think the women should play five, and I'm sure lots of them would want to. I love five set games because of the drama that takes its time to unfold. It's like a test match versus T20, and I don't like T20 at all.
But is it the women saying they don't want to play 5 sets, or is it administrators who won't allow that...
But lots of the AFL teams now have a female and a male mascot - so are Australians ahead of the US in that area?
Great comments on role models - it's part of the whole imaging of women in general, who are supposed to live for others rather than just be themselves.
I not only know who Caitlin Clark is, I sent you an interesting article about the reporting around her. I read The Age AND The New York Times.
And no, you won't make my guest appearance happen. I think I'd actually need to know ALL of the Essendon women's players names to do an in-depth analysis...sometimes it's just "go, you..."
I think Alice should come and do a special outside broadcast from the Melbourne Women's Baseball Tournament - such a showcase for women's sports, lots of opportunities for interviewing international players, a fun, festive atmosphere, and great sport played by women in the right spirit. It is a natural fit for this programme.
Sarah Jones - a huge Essendon person.
Absolutely, Alice in Wonderland should be a guest on this new podcast.
I can see it.
Martin agrees with your "possessions based voting" criticism.
But you already mentioned them!
May Australian sports fans always watch sport for the sport!
