AIRE Tributary Spud Overview
Just wanted to make a quick video showing some of the less mentioned features of the Spud. I love geeking out on stuff before I buy and this was everything I would've wanted to know prior to buying. Let me know if I can help answer some questions:)

Osprey Savu 2L & 5L MTB Hip Packs: Review and Comparison
Просмотров 6 тыс.Год назад
I just wanted to put together a Review/Comparison of the Osprey Savu bags (2L & 5L) and show how much they can actually hold. I mention a few things I liked and some stuff I wish I had known before buying them. It’s awkward talking to a camera but I love helping people with future gear purchases so if I missed some stuff or if you would like to see other info, please comment and let me know wha...

We went ham and tried to slam everything in over the long weekend. Kayaked North St Vrain Creek through Lyons, Rafted the Poudre River (Filter Plant Section) and stopped at Sweetwater Brewing in Ft Collins, and finally went Mountain Biking at Maryland Mountain in Blackhawk. We did a bunch of runs at MD but the camera had issues so I only got the one :/ Thanks for watching! Get your "Boaters Onl...

I saw it getting rolled up, but what size in liter bag do you think it would fit in? Can the tubes be folded in to make it narrower when rolling it up or is it too rigid for that? Thanks.
Can it be inflated with a cheap ozark trail pump from Walmart? Like the kind made for inflating an air mattress?
I’m sure it can. I just bought an Aire Strike, which is bigger than this, and I inflated it this weekend with one of the $10 Ozark Trail double action pumps.
Dr. P!
Great video! Love the yo yo yo footage haha.
Thanks for sharing the video!
They do make one with a bladder.
I was just there today!! The immediate surrounding scenery was so breathtaking and then that view!!!
I bet those snaps on the 5 release so you can carry Nalgene diameter bottles. Or a quart can of High Life.
You fit the rope inside??
Seems savu 5 is great.
The best review of savu bags man, great work🫡
$1 is the right amount of cash to carry while on trail.
thanks for the detailed demo of the two bags and the pros/cons of each. Mahalo!
I ordered the 5 L hip pack. Very uncomfortable pack. Had to send it back. Not for me. Will stick to a mountain bike pack pac.
Factual and perfect presentation. Thank you. I will choose Savu 2. It will be a good "assistant" of Raptor 10
Mate this video is so informative and exactly what I needed. Couldn't decide between the 2 and the 5 but now I know😊

There are some great climbs on Toms Thumb, 20 if I remember right. I like Deep Freeze 5.11a. Hard Driving 5.11a and Garbanzo Beans 5.7 maybe well seee you there someday
Tom’s Thumb is great! Always a joy to hike everything up😂
awesome comparison, thanks!
Thank you for sharing this with us. This gave me the confidence that I would be able to handle the weight of the raft.
How is the comfort of wearing these while riding?
They aren’t bad. The buckles can kind of get in the way but not bad. I have a new bag , The Whirlpool, from San Util that I’m reviewing soon and it is AMAZINGLY comfortable. Well designed hip straps.
While sitting in it does water come in the drain holes and stand on the floor of the kayak?
The floor is actually pretty thick when inflated so the water barely comes in/you stay above it. Stays mostly to the front and back where the holes are, unlike the NRS boats that have holes running the length of the floor and a thinner bottom bladder.
where did you find those packing cubes for your gear and have you taken this on a plane and there was no issue with the size?
I’ve used it as my carry on and put under the seat in front of me on every flight I’ve taken since I bought it. Never had any issues whatsoever. Does take up a good bit of your foot space but worth it to have everything you need in arms reach. The mesh bag was what my harness came in when I originally bought it. If you look up “Packing Cubes” on Amazon there are a ton of options. OR (Outdoor Research) makes quality cubes and they come in a pack of 3-5. Great for packing gear or clothes or lil trinkets!
@@crawfordloper4354 thank you!

@@crawfordloper4354 Thank you!
do you think a dog could ride in it without puncturing the boat? i have so many dogs and they love to paddle the river with me! i would just hate for one of their claws to poke a little hole and now me AND my dogs are stuck down the river!
@sanders_md I think your dog could ride no problem depending on it’s size. However watch out for cats, they’ll put a hole in you and the boat if you aren’t paying attention!
Nice review and comparison , cheers mate
Thanks:)
What is the zipper mesh pouch? Looking for one, but not sure what they are called.
I believe that’s the mesh bag a harness comes in when you buy it new from a store. You could also look into (mesh) storage cubes for suitcase organization.
Slams and cliff jumpers!
👌👌👌
Congratulations! Your crew said more than once "you look amazing," and I agree! Thank you for this well shot and well edited video. You really capture the weather, the challenging trail conditions, and the beauty of the course.
Great work man I’m sure that course ain’t easy.
wtf how does all of this fit to just 32l
Which size is it, s/m or l/xl?
I was wondering the same thing!
@@ice1678 This bag is the 32L(The smaller of the two sizes)
@@crawfordloper4354 there are two sizes of both sizes. 32L Small and Large as well as 45L Small and Large. Main difference is back length, but there's small volume difference as well. So which is it?
L/XL
all great except that hip belt digging into the waist. dealbreaker unfortunately
This is an excellent design for travel!
Super sick! Couldn’t find it on my own and checked MP and still couldn’t find it. Anyway you could send the coordinates?
<3 <3 <3
Ran across your videos as we are about to go to Jacks soon. Nicely filmed! I would be somewhat concerned with the amount of slack your belayer gives and you (particularly on the first couple of clips) and you have a tendency to back clip. Things to watch for, but I think that part of the fun of filming is critiquing ones self. Cheers!
You mention if fits under airplane seat, you saying you could one bag travel with this (non-hiking trip just like a couple weeks in Europe or so). I just got this bag as a gift and I’d like to use it for that ( the person bought it for me not realizing it’s a rock climbing bag)
It is great for traveling. It depends on how much you need to take but I had my clothes, electronics, toiletries, shoes, and other odds and ends and it all still fit with room to spare. I would recommend getting some smaller bags to keep stuff separated in the bag (also makes packing easier).
Thank you ! Due to pandemic I haven’t tried it as a travel bag yet but that will be my use case, In Preparation for when we can travel again I have purchased packing cubes and replaced the waist straps with aer ones (they cost like 11 bucks). My concern is that the 32l is real tall at 24inches and most airlines say carry on has to be 22 inches but if you got it on a plane that takes my worries away!
Well done!
