really good video! from what i know is , its always better to attach fpd to the fall suspension blocks as you connect it to the boat's release mechanism, once connected you can take the weight on falls remove the hanging off pend and connect the other end of fpd to the auxiliary lifting lug! In this way its safer right! But video is excellent.
Yeah that’s what I was wondering. It’s written that u must connect FPD while recovering. But how to connect them if they are too short to reach the chain while you have recovery strops still attached. Or you mean just to hang them on the chain of hoisting block and one by one change hanging off pendant in the auxiliary lifting lug to FPD?
such operation is the standard method? the FPD is first connect to the hook? We believe the method in this video is not correct. the video is made ok,but contents will be easy to mislead to others.…
Τo be lucky not to recover such thng during at least mediun height waves. It's an ambitious way to pick up survivors.
