Herein is a continual circling of the two towers, shooting switches and never stopping, changing movement on the fly in order to avoid getting blasted but still not emerging unscathed. Seems as simple as the last lift map but this is a little trickier than it looks! Played in Crispy Doom

you're braver than I, I was too scared to download it. Apparently that wad contains data from official iwads (doom2) and is kind of piracy anyway.
It's something people new to wad making aren't often aware of. Although it does bloat space needlessly but if something's for GZDoom, you won't think of it as much
This is easily the best WAD of 2024. Anyone who disagrees is wrong.

(my english is a bit broke) Good gameplay , thx for upload a video about it i never see it before. Is really amazing, atmospheric and i really love the trench part (i like trench themed maps but i only found a few of them , apparently is not a common theme) Is a really perfect map and really detailded but are one part that is hard to "know" , in the 7:16 the "panel" is hard to spot , only seeing your video i can progress in the map , i think cus is a bit hard to see the "broken panel" and the door message is not clear,first i try to shoot the gray button but when nothing happens i leave it and try find other thing , maybe the message need to be more "clear" some like (maybe can i shoot something here) Anyways Good video!

This wad has so many obvious issues, but it’s extremely old and about killing Nazis (at least seemingly? there are very few of them xD) so for those two reasons it gets a pass from me :D
I assumed it was supposed to be more of a generic military thing that may or may not have included SS as the commanders. It was a little silly how they were only in the last map admittedly

Hello friend, English is not my native language but I hope you understand me. I need help finding the exit to e7m7 I already have all the keys but I can't understand what is missing I would appreciate your help
Unfortunately, I was only showing this off and thusly am a little bit clueless on the finer progression points. With a lot of the wads that get released in a month, it would be basically impossible for me to finish all of them.
How do you pick these older wads for your videos? Hit random or idgames? Or browse trough old Doomwold posts?
Literally just hit the random button on /idgames. Incidentally I did play this around the time of release as it happens, although I doubt I finished

Really Really didn't like this one. Ammo was indeed too tight, and the map only became more and more frustrating after failing to find the rocket launcher. Somehow I finished it, but there's always a really nasty feeling having to come to a video not to find merely the secrets, but the "right way" to play a map. And that's fine if we're looking at a strategy for Hardfest or something made to stymie, but that's not what I want out of DPB. Edit: Looks like I'm not the only one who didn't figure out how to get at that rocket launcher. That makes me feel a bit better, but this one needed more time in the oven to fix those balance issues.

@@ladymistdragon7287 I certainly wouldn't say its the worst in the series, but it did leave a bad taste.
Yeah... 15 probably takes the cake there. Resurrect-scummed left and right, the poster child for why I don't bother with speedmaps a lot of the time (not that the good ones are all like this, of course). There's been a handful of maps in past DPBs that make me want to delete the whole Wad after I finish, this one is within my bottom 3. Really wish they could have kept that one away from the set and given it a standalone release, or a "bonus" entry.
Hey, thanks for giving this a shot! I'm glad everything is working as expected in Eternity Engine, given the weird things you have to do to get friendly monsters to work like this. x) Here's a few quick notes: * The thing that the arch-viles are chasing is actually a hidden enemy inside of those pillars in the corners. It is technically attackable, but it's so far below the ground that they can't actually zap it. The hidden thing moves around randomly every 4 seconds, which can send it over a teleport linedef, sending it to another corner of the arena. * The reason for the long elevator at the start is because the arch-viles have to be attacked by the target in order to fixate on it. The lift gives time for the thing to attack the arch-viles (using a projectile with the RIP flag, which passes through a line of the arch-viles) and for the arch-viles to teleport into a staging area in order to get released. * I found out while implementing the above that things in MBF21 can't seem to shoot projectiles unless they have a target. I tried having them face in a particular direction and fire but that didn't do anything. Kind of annoying, but at least now why the meteors in JUMPWAD were implemented the way they were. * You can actually shoot through the pillars in the corners. I don't know why I made them like that seeing as that also prevents it from blocking arch-vile attacks, but I'm sure it made sense at the time :P * Originally I gave the player the SSG instead of the rocket launcher, but that both made the cleanup way too time consuming and was also far too safe for my liking. * I was going to have a bunch of different evil eye turrets that shot a variety of different projectiles, or fired a random one each time, but I didn't want to make this too difficult. The imp fireballs were great at keeping up the pressure while making splash damage and the erratic vile movement the biggest threats.
What a terrible spot to place the rad suit… where it’s no longer relevant because you’ve already trudged through the nukage waste to get there….

I think so. All you'd really need to do is use SLADE. Although if you're asking for an enemy randomizer using the Harkubus, I'm not really an expert on those kinds of mods

Hey, just saw this video. The reason the weapons are messed up is because you shouldn't load the mod on top of Eraser, it already comes as a full package - the mod is for when you want to use the weapons with other maps.
I kept playing an older version not including them then. I just assumed I'd have to do that.
@@ladymistdragon7287 Hm, that could be the case but even the old version you played earlier this year came bundled together with the weapons. Really not sure what's up with that, but hey, all's well that ends well.
The "FIFFY" thing was to piss off TeamTNT. Back in the AOL days, TeamTNT members would belittle hobbyist mapmakers that made less then stellar maps (keep in mind they are very plain-looking due to most editors only giving you about 20-30KB or RAM to make the entire map, before that bottleneck was vastly widened), and I stood up for the hobbyists. Ultimately the distain for TeamTNT on AOL was bad enough they left the AOL DooM Community, and DooMworld was created. As for the MIDI, it was a product of it's time, and sounded good on the cards of that time. A lot of fan-made metal hits don't sound good on modern cards, especially some MetallicA ones that are like listening to fingernails on a backboard.

@@ladymistdragon7287 No problem. The 6fiffy*.zip series was another thing Team TNT also hated me because I challenged their "Limitless Linedefs" claim their BooM source port. First level was a nudge, second pushed it harder, third as hard as editors allowed, which did break it. :) After that, I went 50/50 with the detail so their slow machines could handle things, but they hated it, so in the last one (6fiffy6) which was for the ZDooM port, so there's a crap-ton of slopes, and a crap-ton of high detail. It was my biggest "Middle Finger" to TeamTNT. :) Of course, todays mods, and machines can handle them without even trying, but back then, I was glad to bring their machines down to 3, 4 FPS. :D

yeah, I think the maps were short in part because he didn't have the time anymore, but it's nice he had some idea in mind and went for it!
Oof yeah, my BBB submission is definitely one of my roughest maps. To give a bit of context, there was two ideas I was going for: Firstly to make a regular enemy the boss encounter for the map, so there's actually only one chaingunner who teleports into the different sections to harass the player, and killing them opens the way to the exit. The other was to make the player feel happy/relieved when they finally find a pistol, of all things. So the blue forcefields block projectiles but not hitscan, and the yellow forcefields are the opposite. But I couldn't think of a good way to convey either concept to the player within the timeframe, so it ended up being a confusing mess. I might revisit these ideas some day and hopefully execute them better.
