The Polaris lounge in SF is a disgrace. They don't even have espresso machines which every other lounge has. It feels like an overcrowded railway station with food strewn all over and the dining is a joke because you will never be able to wait that long to be seated. The food itself is mostly inedible and you have no self-serve for drinks. You must wait in line to order from one bartender who seems to hate his job. They have a sign that says they were voted best or something which is the biggest joke. Also Polaris business class feels like you are in a coffin and you can't even lie on your side...and along with older cranky flight attendants is the last time I will fly international on a US airline.

Philippine Airlines also flies direct to Manila from both SFO and LAX.

Very good review. I traveled this month with Finnair in premium economy between Helsinki and Tokyo for the outward and return journey and I was very disappointed especially on the return journey by the quality of the food served, especially the starter, the dessert for the main meal but also by the breakfast for the return flight. Even if the seat was ok, I think that next time I will prefer an Asian company to return to Asia in premium economy

The food in Business class is BAD!!👎👎👎 Polaris lounge serves better food. Improvement needed. Service is great! Hope administrative staffs take notes .

I took the flight it's definitely better than PAL, but the pilot likes to shout into the loudspeaker every 10 minutes so forget about getting any sleep, United seems to have this new rule about reminding people every time there's a couple bumps of turbulence, they don't need to treat us like babies, none of the Asian carriers do that. I guess I'm gonna have to pony up the extra couple thousand dollars and take Singapore,

I agree with Robert Gonzales.....just watched a video on EVA from Jakarta-Taipei-Houston and they served in courses and had a beautiful appetizer of smoked salmon and cold boiled shrimp and much higher quality and portions for the entree. #UNITED

horrible business class first of all menu card is like economy class second of all everything is on one tray and nothing fancy what the hell is this when was this flight If I were I would've officially complained please do it sometimes they offer mile
