For me the new d8 loses its nick name as jack of all trades eversince they removed the rear rack...now north america prefer dahon mariner though they are almost identical..but mariner fold its handlepost inside..sandwiched between the fold instead of n fold..which is neater than n fold...plus they have seatpost pump ..adjustable handlepost...and RACK...now thats hard to beat..sorry ..i have tern link d8 my self but i love mariner better..its a true jack of all trade

The Link D8 is a fantastic bike. I have a 2017 model. Although the new ones have trigger shifter i think and I wish i had those.
U can just change the shifter bro..ezy peezy..i had my d8 in 2014 with sram gripshift..but it lack precision..so i change it with shimano claris..and it works great..precise shifting...

Can Tern folding bike has smaller size wheels to be stow away in boot ?
I've had no problem fitting one of these in the boot of a car. I have asked for uber or taxi while with my bike and I just fold it and put it in the back. 9 out of 10 times you won't have an issue. Only with very small cars. Hope this helps. Cheers!
