Unforgotten Ronnie. He was a racer of the purest kind. No politics, only the love to drive, honest, one of the best and fastest ever. And quite simply, just a lovely guy. It was a privilege to saw him driving at the limit, weather in a Ferrari 312 PB works World Champion Sportscar, Group 5 Touring cars in Germany or in F1 - not only at the old original Nürburgring always a pleasure...

As for the cause of Peterson's crash at Monza 1978, it is important to always remember that Patrese did NOT hit Hunt. In fact, a few weeks after the accident, the Italian specialized weekly "Autosprint" (at the time directed by the great Marcello Sabbatini) published photographs showing that Patrese was well ahead of Hunt before Hunt hit Peterson [these photos were also useful for Patrese to be acquitted in the trial which saw him accused (of manslaughter) in Italy].
