Whats the thing on his finger? Whats it for and where can i get one
Banjo thimble. Made by Joel hooks. Google it you’ll find them
came back again on a different account to repeat - HE NEEDS TO BE ON NPR MORE THAN EVER NOW. reject the system and fight with song. bring folk back, bring back the fight.
This deserves more views.
this is so dope
For a song named “no masters” you really do master the banjo🔥 nice to meet you, we also submitted!
Thanks! Good luck!
I have never cried to a song the first time I've heard it. This changed that. You touched my soul, man. I feel like I'm less alone now.
It’s a powerful tune. Glad you were moved by it!
fucking awesome song
This is bloody fantastic, would love to see you at the desk in Boston!
Thanks!
found your channel with undone in sorrow. immediately became a fan. lovely song
Thank you!
Are those nialon brother?
Nylgut strings yes
the lyrics is punk, the song is punk! beautifully done :D
Really lovely! I love the connection between Appalachian folk and traditional Irish songs. It reminds me of songs I’d hear in Oranmore as a child
That's a pretty badass song, wanted to give props especially on your lyric writing and banjo skills 🙏
Thanks man!
Forever love ya Bud! And how pertinent this song is right now. Hearing you loud and clear on the "unify, liberate!" You're awesome friend!
Free Palestine! If u support genocideJoe u r guilty
🤟

incredible as always!!!!! gonna force my tutor to transcribe this for me so i can learn it hehe
When played on a standard tuned banjo it’s in “triple c” tuning
Godspeed pal!! Love ya handwork, this lil tune rad as hell!
Rooting for you! This is by far one of my favourite songs on my spotify playlist haha
Sounds great 🪕
Immaculate as always
This is wonderful, thankyou.
I've been coming back to this video over the last 6 months or so, and I gotta say that this rendition moves me brother. Keep it up!
Hell yeah dude
Very much nice. You've already won bud. 🌞
No genres no masters is truly the anthem of our times ✊🏴 I hope you win big bro!
good luck huston!!
stumbled upon this thanks to the algorithm. Also Wow!!!! good luck mate!!
excellent composition, friend!!! a good battle tune to add to the list! wishing you all the luck in the contest!
Both folk and punk are very broad genres, and therefore folkpunk is similarly diverse, and I would definitely think this would fall into the genre, especially since gatekeeping punk is very not punk
If someone has the punk mindset and call themselves punk, they’re punk, at least to me that’s the only two requirements.
If you ain't got it no one does. Get it Huston
Wish you the best, love from Spain <3
I hope you win! You need to be more known ❤
People don't understand what folk punk is, bc what you sang was folk punk
People love labels 🤷♂️
we HAVE to get him on the show
I say it's Anarcho-folk. 😅 Great song!
Nice work bud. I always enjoy your stuff. I Like the percussive right hand drive on this one. Best of luck, Brother.
Much appreciated!
let's goo!
I love that you kept the title for the song 🤣🤣🤣 It's a banger 🔥 Best luck, woud love to see you on tiny desk!!
genres be damned my boy can work a banjo
What a great song! Good luck in the contest, you deserve it 🍀 Oh and I understand why you would call it "Folk Punk". The music is folky, the lyrics are punky 😁
man i really hope you win, i love your sound and need to hear it through NPR mixing...
Good luck on the contest my brother.
Very deep tone from that big banjo of yours, lovely
good luck with your submission man! all the best
Thanks! Fingers crossed!
awesome stuff
your name is the opposite of where you are from. Philadelphia is about as far from houston or the west as you can get! the song is a banger though
