why electricity distributed as 3 phase system? Why 3 Phase System used in Transmission & Distribution? Most of mains power sockets are single phase, Utilities are in DC But, Power stations generate three phase AC at 120° from each other. Why? The advantage of this is that 3x120° = 360°. In other words, the phases cancel out when connected to a common point.

    The last equation is not correct, you substitute the vout/vin in the place of D, how can you write the D again in the equation

      I agree with you. D = Vo/Vin for buck converter. once it is expanded in the equation, it has to be removed (so final equation should contain either D or Vo/Vin....

    Thanks, so far you're the only person helping with pin identification. Thankyou, thankyou! I know a few viewing this had trouble understanding so maybe I can translate. The plus and minus signs on rectifier body are diagnal from each other. The other 2 diagnal pins are AC in. The plus and minus leads are the DC out. The schematic shows what's inside a single phase bridge rectifier, but as you can see, one could make with 4 diodes. Hope that helps.

      I know what you mean; I'm kind of a dummy here but can see now that if your rectifier body is not labeled; the longest lead is the +. The minus will be diagonally located. But say the leads have been cut? Then a continuity check with a meter can deduce the terminal ID.
