ISO 14001:2015 is the international standard for environmental management and describes the requirements that need to be in place in any organization that wishes to demonstrate that it is “environmentally responsible.”
To receive and maintain ISO 14001 certification, a company must undergo a series of audits. The audit process begins with an initial certification audit. It consists of a Stage 1 audit that is a review to ensure you have everything you need for your Stage 2 audit. The Stage 2 audit is when the credentialed third-party Lead Auditor audits you against the requirements of ISO 14001.
