Very impressed with the amount of research done for the video!

I loved the movie. I saw it when it first came out in the theaters. I don't have a problem with racial humor as long as it is done in the proper context and for humor's sake and not trying push a negative racial agenda.

Loving the nuanced view of the film! Im happy to see someone talking about how something couldnt be made today in a positive light! It's always just people complaining that they either can't acceptably be extremely hurtful to groups of people for no reason or making it up. Plenty of recent media includes racial slurs, like Curb Your Enthusiasm or Shameless, and plenty of the other things that people claim to not be allowed today. I think now these things are just used in media more poignantly. Now when slurs or sexism or whatever is in media, it's presented and then condemned or simply not used in a neutral nor positive light. Media isn’t unallowed to use certain words or convey ideas, but the creators of media are more informed about what types of messages are harmful to groups of people and general society, and so are consumers, who are able to vote with their wallets.

Such a good movie. I'm amazed at how anachronistic it already feels, being just 10 years old. The media landscape has changes so much. I feel like a contemporary movie about the state-of-the-art in modern media depravity would have to focus more on the influencer world or bot farms posting rage-bait on Twitter.

Its not specific to capitalism, its specific to entertainment within journalism

As tragic as what happened to him, his overall determination, resiliency and desire to survive toughened him up for better or worse

I doubted it would be any good, but watched it for free here on YT. It wasn't just passable, it was surprisingly good. The bits they do are pretty clever and lots of laughs throughout. Fans of Norm will definitely like it.

I saw this in the theater, just me and my buddy Richard, there was 1 other guy watching it, it was opening weekend. I still watch this movie.

yea im gonna have to disagree with you on this one, for a straight comedy, i put dirty work up there with anchorman, superbad, happy gilmour, team america and most other acclaimed comedies of the 90's and 2000's. say what you want about the dumb plot, but i dont need a clever plot to laugh. the hysterical bits in this movie are where the gold is combined with norms deadpan reactions to all them. i guess if your reviewing this a movie in general, 6.6 is fair, but as a comedy, i gotta go 8.9

Mediocre misfire? Never speak of comedies again. Dirty work is on a small list of elite movies. The first viewing hits harder than 99% of any comedy made the last 15 years.

Best prison movie since Blood in Blood Out, 9.5 of 10......from an x-con and O.G. in my zone, pretty damned good entertainment. But, the movie compared to reality.....his first 10 years really only took 2 hours, my 15 was fifteen years long!!!!!! Big Difference
