Hi, just trying to follow your trip....you get off the ferry and end up in the middle of Tassie (Tungatinah) for your first night... Is that correct?
@@markcranston814 hey mate, thanks for watching! The campgrounds that we share are some of our favourites. It’s not a travel itinerary or has a story line . You’ll end op driving a lot 🥴 if you follow our top 10 😅 Enjoy Tassie and let me know if you need anymore tips 🙏🏼
You’re the couple from Noosa. I’m the old guy that travels in a white triton alone ; from Coolum; have met you ;@memory cove SA and the kangaroo island browns beach. And in 3 weeks will be in Tasmania Did a 5 week trip around the Whitsundays in august /sept in my 5 metre boat was great you’d enjoy that. Great video skills I’m enjoying them relaxed and informative. Are you still living in Noosa? Regards Andrew Portway
@@AndrewPortway-io6fu ohh my god! What are the odds 👀 We just recently talked about you. We are in Noosa until the end of January because we bought a house in Peregian. We should catch up with a beer 🍻 Thanks so much for the feedback!
Great looking setup
겨울에도 캠핑할수 있게 임시 칸막이를 장착해야 밖에서 음식할때와 샤워시 추위를 줄일수 있어요.
Thank you . Appreciated the effort. I certainly will check out a few of these camping spots you mentioned.
Our absolute pleasure mate! There are so many beautiful campgrounds in Tassie so it’s difficult to list them all but I hope this episode and tips make your trip even better! Enjoy Tassie 🤩 xx
Great stuff waffles!
@@huntababey thanks handsome! 😜
Show me how this is obi wan. 😊😅
😁😁 working on a walk around video 😇
That must have terrible steering with that setup
Not after all the modifications that we’ve done. The camper is actually pretty light. Just over 300kg 😇
Nice content waffles!
@@huntababey thanks handsome! 🫶🏼
Going to Tasmania at January, but don’t have time to visit Queenstown):
@@Demonmouse Have the best time mate! January is a good time of the year to be in Tasmania 🤩
Living the dream!
@@Hummingbird-75 trying! It’s not always like this unfortunately… BUT 20% of this is enough to make up the moments that aren’t pretty 😇
nice
It is supposed to be good luck when a bird poops on you
@@gavinjewell5886 that’s what they tell you to get rid of the disappointment I believe 🤪😂 But yes! It’s good luck! 😍
How heavy is your trailer? Did you drive in 4H or 4L when towing?
@@lautarogatti around 1.2t fully loaded. Just 4H and no lockers. Good luck! 🔥
Cloudy Bay is also a great place to catch an Aurora, with uninterrupted views south and no light pollution. Tassie is the best place in Australia to see the Southern Aurora 🤩
@@ellisjudson6162 Cloudy Bay was actually our Tassie favourite campground 😍 Such a beautiful place!
Love your videos! Did you have to modify the Jeep suspension at all to tow the X1?
@@ScottyRowe thank you! The Jeep has a 2 inch lift with some airbags (airbagman) in the back BUT I don’t believe you need it to tow an X1. They are pretty lightweight.
Fortescue Bay and Jetty Beach are at the top of my favorite campsites in Tassie, along with Lime Bay
@@ellisjudson6162 we agree! So many beautiful spots 😍
When I see videos like this, all I think about is us murries being told to assimilate into society. While that society tries to escape by practically doing what we were happy and peacefully doing before being disrupted. Nothing short of evil. But enjoy and while you do think of the Ngugi people who once occupied and cared for it. What you call Moreton Island.
@@emmaw5133 nothing but love for this country 🫶🏼
@@bushandbay I know, just not in the past. Sorry can't help but chuckle and feel sad at the same time. I've got to stop being negative. But it still hurts to know we had something great and you can agree.
@@emmaw5133 I actually agree with you. We moved from Europe about 5 years ago and we can see what’s happening here slowly…
you guys are awesome. my wife and i are traveling to Tasmania in December for 4 weeks with our caravan. we are so excited. thanks for sharing your journey
@@DavidW-y6u thank you!! 🤩 You guys are going to love Tassie 😍 Sam wrote a few blogs about Tassie as well, they’re on our website. Cheers, Wim
In which month did you make this visit?
@@18priyansh28 end of January until mid March 😬
Hi Guys, just wanted to say how impressive your videos are. You are both natural talents. Very professional in every way. Up to broadcast quality in every way. You should have lots more subscriptions but I think inevitably you will rewarded for your natural abilities. Documentary level quality. Have lots of fun exploring Mother Earth. Cheers
@@BrendaMcqualter-u8t a comment like this means a lot to us! Thank you so much for the kind words 🙏🏼😍 We still have a lot to learn but we are loving the journey so far! Cheers, Wim & Sam
at least you got rid of the pusbucket jeep
usually on the road as your doing a 100kmh, the little bastards do a lit of damage to your vehicle.
@@Steve211Ucdhihifvshi I know! Bastards are solid units 😬
I feel sorry for your spine and kidneys, cuz these arent touring vehicles, they are farm and work utes. You will understand after the first few hour drive. It doesnt get better, it only gets worse. You basically have two options, One: Sell it and buy a proper cruiser or prado yeah its not built like a tank, but they handle nicer and rides like a limo. Two,: the full your an idiot and cant admit your mistakes path, start with a thick pair of sheepskin seat covers, then get air ride seats to match, then get full custom air ride suspension for the vehicle and drive a 20 story tall woblly block of jello everywhere, then upgrade the motor, tubing etc etc et exhaust etc as everyone seems to have something to proove when they buy one of theae for what they arent designed to do. oh and lastly get good health insurance, as your backs gunna need work. Good luck.
@@Steve211Ucdhihifvshi so … reading between the lines… if I want to keep the car I have to invest in good suspension?
I hate to say it but the ultimate cruiser would have a v8
@@JamesGirvan-li5ol I hate to say it but I prefer an automatic to lap around Australia 😇 But that V8 sound 🤤
yeah a petrol supercharged v6 or petrol v8, none of this bullshit diesel crap.
Love the video, what are the rules regarding the drone footage. Do you need special permission?
@@jacob_j_o thank you! In QLD you don’t need permission to fly a drone. But I would always double check with Parks and Wildlife wherever you are flying. We learned the hard way in NSW 🫣🙄
@@bushandbay thanks so much, will do that, going to Tasmania soon...
@@jacob_j_o watch out in Tassie! We found out a few weeks ago that in Tassie the drone rules are probably the worst in Australia. We assumed it wasn’t allowed to fly in National Parks but it’s also heritage areas and reserves 🫣 We had no idea!
@@bushandbay will do thank you for the heads up
Thank you so much for these 3 episodes. I have recently found myself as a solo camper, canoeist and traveller with my wife of 54 yrs now in residential aged home care. At 75yrs this is my last chance to visit and camp in Tassie and your contribution was clearly the best guide I could have hoped for in planning a much anticipated adventure. Thank you again. PS any advice with the Creepy elements? Pete from Cooma NSW (formerly Geelong!)
@@petermcmahon8707 that’s amazing to hear! You should really check out Sam’s blogposts about Tasmania. That’ll be even more helpful! You can find them on our website. Regards to the creepy stuff 😇 I would say that the entire west coast is so remote that often you find yourself alone in the wilderness. It gets creepy fast when you are all alone … BUT that’s probably just us Europeans 😇😅 You’ll love Tassie and make the most of it! Amazing that you are doing this at 75yrs 💪🏼 I hope we can say that one day! 🙏🏼 Good luck and safe travels.
What a cool (and fast!!) reply. I think there must be a mistake with my DOB; I can't be this old. Stay well you two Pete

Awesome video (amazing drone footage), super helpful! ☺️ What time of year did you go? My partner and I are planning to go next year but are trying to avoid the tassie cold!
@@sciencea3485 thanks so much! We would say go around Feb - March. Just outside school holidays and you still get some warm days. That’s what we did and we had some beautiful weather! Enjoy guys! You’ll love it. 😊
@@bushandbay thank you 🙌
Love your videos, and would love to know where that top secret campsite is
Thanks mate! It’s about one hour north of the Twelve Apostles. A side road of Old Coach Rd but make sure you have a 4wd and some experience and do it with a camper trailer 😅🫣 Looking back it loods unreal but I remember being very stressed 🤯 That’s the reason why we aren’t sharing this location in the video… good luck!
Tasmanian here and i have to say i have always said i want to travel the world but from what i see i have much to discover in my own backyard ❤❤ beautiful video ❤
That’s something we still blame ourselves. We lived for over 30 years in Europe and I’m guessing we’ve seen 10% 🫣 You always forget your own backyard! Thanks for the beautiful comment 🙏🏼😍
Where’s the other way not through the creek ?
@@gregdogg10 because the ranger told us that the creek crossing was easy we never checked out that other route. It was on Google maps BUT please don’t pin me on this because we never checked that. And we don’t always trust Google maps 😇

@@brentthompson6223 thanks! We were there from the end of January until March. Enjoy!
Interesting to hear about the creepy campgrounds. Great 3 episodes, definitely check out a few campgrounds next time I'm in Tassie
@@gavinjewell5886 actually, the free camp in this episode, in Mersey Forest, was so remote that the night got super creepy! 😇 We had a few like these. The more remote you go the creepier they get and a lot of free camps in Tassie are very remote… Thanks for the feedback! 🙏🏼
@bushandbay What was the name of the free camp in the Mersey Forrest
It’s very close to the Lake Rowallan Boat Ramp. Mersey Forest Rd. High clearance recommended… only small trailers I would say 😇
