Most of my phrasing/melodic inspiration comes from soundtracks (video game/anime/...), I've never listened to polyphia in my life, but of course I know their most popular pieces (GOAT, Playing God, Ego Death, ABC). And I'll take it as a compliment bc they write some killer melodies, so thanks for the comment👍✌️

The little lick on the 8th/7th fret was a variation of a lick in the main riff in "Night Stalkers" by Megadeth, that's where most of my influence comes from, but metallica is also onr of my favourites and biggest influences when it comes to rhythm playing

@@RAMMSSHADOW I know what you're saying. My guitar incl amp, cable, etc. was 200 used and I've had it for many years and still love it, but I think this to myself. If I have money for a good 7 string, I have money for a great 6 string. And I have always felt content with my current guitar, not once thought 'oh man if only I had a 7 string now', so in my eyes, it would be too much money for too little benefit
