    Hi there! I'm stumbling upon this in my own attempt to make a Kassandra inspired costume. I'm curious whether you used worbla as a base for the torso armor, or whether you were able to do everything with EVA foam. :)

I'm a total novice (I just did my first build a month or so ago) and really struggled with using foam to get the breastplate of a different armor set just right. • @EvilCleverDog
      @EvilCleverDog 4 месяца назад

      Thank you! Upholstery foam tends to be a lot more spongey and with more "gaps" in its surface than the type of foam I use for costuming. I'm sure the main could stick to it but I doubt the surface would look as smooth unless it was covered in something else!

    • @EvilCleverDog
      @EvilCleverDog 5 месяцев назад

      I'm honestly not sure of specifics, I've never done something like that. I imagine you'd need something to put in the port to block it off that could be removed, but you'd need to make sure epoxy didn't fuse to that which would fuse it in place? Maybe some kind of release agent or something? Casting onto bits of tech isn't really my area of expertise 😅

    How do you get consistent diagonal cuts like that for the blade edges? Even with a sharp blade I can't reliably do it except at shallow angles that don't get the right effect.

    • @EvilCleverDog
      @EvilCleverDog 6 месяцев назад

      It does take a bit of practice to get it consistently! I find it's best when you move in one consistent motion and take a moment to really settle your hand into the right angle first. Having a fresh blade (or sharpening your blade first) also really helps for doing bevelled angles.
