Norfolk Broads - Martham Ferry. Picnic Boat day hire. Horsey and Hickling Broads + Potter Heigham.
Last month we went on our annual break to East Anglia, and for the second year in a row we hired a boat on the Norfolk Broads, this year we chose Martham Ferry as our hire location.
Martham Ferry Day Boat Hire provides diesel and electrical powered boats available to hire for either half day (3 1/2hrs) or full days (7hrs). Full tuition provided and booking can be done online.
I booked the diesel Comet One Picnic boat for 6 of us for the full day, and took my new AKASO Action Camera on the trip to try it out.

My first visit to the CVR in a while, I caught the 0940 to Ipstones with 75014 and shot video of the climb and the decent up Ipstones Bank. Later I was on the double headed train with s160 5197 & 6046 and shot some more exhilarating video. Features video of both trips along with some Stills. Filmed at the sole Great Yorkshire Airshow in 2015 which turned out to be a great show and a memorable day. Simon - thank you for posting this video. I did not know it existed until today. I am the builder and owner of the layout and I appreciate the comments about the scenery/landscaping. The layout is set in Ayrshire and reflects my interest in Scottish Coal Traffic over the years. The layout is due to appear at Warley (NECC) this time next year - November 2020 - and that will be its last show before I break it up. I am getting too old to be moving it about! Hello Max, thank you for your generous comment, I have been to Warley myself this weekend in fact, I will be on the lookout for you and the layout at next years show. Unfortunately I recently had to swap my phone after a breakage and I don't have the master file anymore.
