Timecodes signify the clips placement in the full film. Comparing an early scene of the character noticing a painting to that same character finding the same scene in real life. The scenes generally sync up, but this is most likely just coincidence.

In the original script, the time machine was a 1969 Chevy van. The filmmakers thought that was too similar to Back to the Future, so they changed it to a phone booth

I always wondered if the future people were part time lord in Bill and Ted. It's almost like they tried to recreate Gallifrean technology but couldn't get a few things right like making the phone booth bigger on the inside.
Ever notice how the Phone Booth gets pulled into the ground by electrical hands? Its as if the circuits of time is a sentient life force.
I know I was thinking something very similar to that! It’s like that electricity is pulling the Phone Booth down.
