Amazing! Derek Forbes was as powerful as Will Heggie (Cocteau Twins), and strangely enough Cocteau Twins took their name from SM. My fave two albums of all time are New Gold Dream - SM, and Treasure Cocteau Twins.

First seen the band in 1981 in Edinburgh my home city ,and fell in love with their sound. What a band.

WOW!! only just seen and then heard this . .Cant thank you enough . . this was their final album . .you can hear it in this song . .Beat band sound of all time . .template for 90s dance music . . . .I havent a clue what happened to them after 82 though. .wot a shame . . .

This band combines so many cool aspects - melodies, poetry, dreamy guitar riffs and strong vocals.... and great bass lines. Melancolia full throttle.... Arthur Rimbaud would be proud.

It's cool to hear this demo, but the absolute best rendition ever is from The Tube that same year! Their performance was absolutely stellar and Mick kills it on keys!
