That’s NOT a State Game Warden! He’s a county Marshal who’s enforcing county ordinances. BIG difference! Most Game Wardens who come across as “bullish” is because of the reaction they’re receiving in dealing with the constituents. As a career Game Warden, it continually amazed me at how many people managed to talk their way from a verbal warning into a trip to jail because they thought they knew the law better than I did…I always tried to be as polite and pleasant as I could, but some people would just have to ruin my day.

Well you should probably know the rules before you participate in an activity. I get you are not robbing a bank but if everyone breaks the rules due to ignorance of the law. There would be no resources left. At least you didn’t get a ticket. Creeks rivers lakes all have to be regulated. It’s about the fish not the location

When a sign says STAY OUT OF THE WATER, then stay the hell out. Be glad you arent here in Texas, when they say let me see your license, you better have it ON YOU....not in the truck, not in a tackle box, but ON YOU. If you DONT have it on you its the same as NO LICENSE. Its always been that way. And Im 66 y.o.and have ALWAYS been told to NEVER give fish or game away WHERE YOU HARVEST IT FROM. As far as the spotted bass is not regulated? I dont live in Georgia so I dont know the the law on that. Yes he was a bit of a dick, but no citations and told you to stay away for 24 hours....And thats it ? Be glad you are in Georgia. And stop talking about how NICE you are to give an old lady some fish to help feed her.....FOLLOW THE RULES AND REGULATIONS. PERIOD.
