So I’m having a similar issue where my joycon doesn’t even have green lights and doesn’t connect, I tried a different controller on that side and it worked so I’m certain the issue is on the controller itself. I’m hoping this helps, also I didn’t quite hear you say the type of screw driver you needed so it would be great if I could get a response ALSO that’s a really nice kit where did you buy it?😂 I’m similar where I enjoy opening up stuff to fix it myself

In my case, my right Joy Con is randomly disconnecting in the dock, as if communication with the console was interfered with, it still has input lag before disconnecting on its own, the strange thing is that this only occurs with the right Joy Con. Any solutions? What causes this?

I find the design choice of this ribbon cable ridiculous. I have 3 joy cons all with the same issue and all 3 have broken in the same place. Even the new cable already has a slight crease because there's nowhere else for it to go. 🤦🏻‍♂️

Great video, it will come in handy! But if i may, you used a wrong type of paste on top of the heatpipe. You see, that's right there is a "viscous" thermal paste, like the K5 PRO. It helps because it stays in place and won't drop on the MOBO. I also did the same mistake at first when my console started to overheat and the results was that the moment i opened the metal lid again, it dripped on the MOBO and was boring to clean it out (no problems since the paste i used is not conductive, at least). The regular thermal paste is actually applied in 2 places: right under the pipe on the heat shield and under the heat shield itself that is made on the inside to contain the paste on the processor.

My left joycon randomly disconnects in handheld as if I took it off yet I didnt, I usually never take them off and mostly play in handheld anyways so it's really annoying in rocket league and fortnite

so it is possible that this bricked wii does have the backup system availaible but isnt..booting to it, which the menu can be gained by holding reset while powering on.

Okay, RUclips removed my first well written comment.... Try putting in the CR2032 battery back in, using a modding SD card, or worse case look for a SaveMii dongle. The website has links to get one but could not find a working on. If you search for the dongle, there are places selling them tho.

I have zero idea how people mess up consoles this bad. I'm a Pc gamer but my son plays consoles as well. I take it out o f the box and put it where it's going and that's pretty much it. Half of these used consoles looked like they were deployed to Afghanistan for a few tours.
