Here is the truth, the Ghana brand is not attractive globally. You Ghanaians have equated some Black Americans coming to Ghana to see the slave castles as a flex. To do a collaboration, both parties have to benefit. Looking at Ghana from an international artist standpoint, Ghana don’t have the numbers, market, resources, machinery, and intellectual property. So what is the artist gaining? Nothing. It will be a waste of money and time. That’s why Ghanaian artists go for the low level international artists. The world finds the Nigerian brand attractive, that’s why it’s easy to collaborate. Even celebrities from UK/Canada/US/Jamaica/Brazil/Haiti claim to have Nigeria DNA, because they see what Nigerians are doing out there. Candace Owen’s just said she wished she was Nigerian. There are levels to this. Ghanaians, stop forcing yourselves, it’s not by force. Nigerians just have that ‘IT’ factor, which Ghanaians don’t have.
