A bi-cultural family, living and raising our boys in Spain. We use our vlog to document our lives, our travels, and our homeschooling abroad. Once upon a time we lived in Mexico for a couple of years. We’ve also been to Honduras, Costa Rica, & Portugal, so you’ll find those videos in our channel as well.

Hi, thanks for the vidéo. How much is the rent?
Hi, it was an Airbnb. I don’t immediately recall the price, but you can use some websites to find rentals cost. Idealista, fotocasa, and habitaclia are three good ones.
Hi, thanks for the video. Do you still homeschool ?
We are doing a combination.
youre right about BHW, dont buy anything, most people are trying to steal niches by asking about what niche keywords before they offer the service.. theres better places for PBNs or to buy PBNs i would just go to the job boards for writiers and go with seo service or agency for PBNs

Hi, I'm moving from the Valencian community at the end of the month and was wondering which town hall in the Murcia region did you go to - I assume process is the same across the region? Have you changed your residency address yet?
We went to the townhall in downtown Murcia. Depending on where you live, it might be a different location. We live in Murcia city, so that’s the townhall we went to. We did change our residency address. There’s a link to do it online, I think you need a digital certificate. I can post the link..just gotta go find it. Good luck with your move!
Here is the link to change your address online. Keep the justificante that you get once it’s submitted. cambiodomicilio.redsara.es/pcd/public/login.xhtml?fbclid=IwAR0a8Ivo2OIc0qrLWInzVAwzWucqB8N9mAlZLIkb96LjNf7gFYphjcfe3cI

I grew up with heat like this. It was nice. Always warm and toasty!
It is the perfect amount of heat! Not too hot, but not cold. It was so cold we couldn’t stand to be in the room 😅.
Once the fire gets going, how long do the coals last before you have to replenish them?
It lasts for around 45mins before we have to add more, but it’s a small oven. We tried wood today, but it’s very smokey, so we are sticking with charcoal and got a CO monitor. 🙃🙃
I'm sorry you had the same experience that we did. We're waiting for Mia to turn 16 next year so we can return. Meanwhile, we bought a home in Tlaxcala and we're loving it here while we wait.
I’m thankful we were able to move and go somewhere else according to the school we wanted. He’s already had a great first few days before Christmas, and he’s been asking about going back for many days now 😆.
I love how you did “MONEY MONEY MONEYYYYYY!!!!!!!!”

Enjoyed both the Instapot cooking demo and the NLV information! We are starting our process for NLV to Spain. We have lived off and on in Mexico for 20 years and sold our home there recently. My Mom is Spanish as well as my grandparents so hoping to get citizenship after 1 year. My husband is Mexican so I read that he can apply for the NLV with his Mexican passport and get citizenship after 2 years. How have you found the cost of living to be compared to Mexico? We are looking at Madrid as that is where I have family but I understand that you are in Zaragoza? I’ve been there and really liked it.
Hi! Yes, we are in Zaragoza for now. Everything you said about citizenship is true. He doesn’t need to use his MX pp though, but he can. COL btwn MX & Sp is probably about double for rent, depending on city & location (could be the same in some places) & the food at restaurants is definitely higher. No 20c tacos here 😓. I say that on average it’s double or more from MX, but still a good bit lower than the US (especially housing!).
Que tal esta para ir saludo Desde Dallas
Thanks for sharing. I would really love to hear what area you live. I am searching for a school and my kids are now at a montessori school in our country. We want to move to Spain in a few weeks. And can’t find much variation. Only private/international, public and semi private. I would love to hear from you and also about how it’s now he started to go to school. Does he like it and are you satisfied? Greetings S
He likes the school!! He actually wants to go 😹. What I did was go tour schools in the cities we were interested in living in. Some schools I couldn’t get to and did email based questions or zoom meetings. I asked every school except for one if they would let him go for half a day “until he was ready for more”. All but one said yes, so he’s going for just about half a day (3-4 hrs depending on the day). If I were you, and moving in a few weeks- by the time you get here and get settled, it could make sense to start them in January, if you went that route, so that they could start at a “beginning point”. You’ll likely blend in well enough in whatever city you go to..unless something comes up with getting the padrón done- they do ask about being enrolled in school, but we avoided that by not taking the kids in with us when we did the padrón. I filled out an extra form to give my husband authorization to register us all, with only him being there- so they never saw my son and never asked about the school question on the form (and we “ignored” the question on the form and didn’t fill it out). I hope this makes sense. It will hopefully make sense when you see the form for the padrón.
Recently I got NLV and I am planning to travel soon, please advise which city is affordable and how to apply residency after arrival ??
You will need to complete the steps when you get to Spain, by registering at the townhall closest to where you end up living for your “padrón”. You should have had to tell them on the application what city you wanted to go to, so that’s where you go, rent, and register. After the padrón, you go to the police station to finish the process.
Thanks for the great video! I also watched the other one as well. I’m trying to do the same through affiliate marketing/ RUclips passive income. In your application, did you mention your income was passive through affiliate marketing/blogging? And did you have the entire amount saved, or just showed the required amount per month?
In the NLV (moving from MX to Spain) video that we did, my husband described what exactly he said to them. You don’t have to say where your income comes from on the app, but you do list your “job”. I *think* I wrote “digital marketing/passive income earner” in that spot.
This video has the terminology that he used. I can’t remember it clearly right now, so check this for that point from their list. ruclips.net/video/tKiusRzc2J0/видео.html
Thank you for the information. We are planning to move to Spain. Because we live in Europe we don’t need a visa moving to Spain. If I understand your information correctly, you are homeschooling now but because visa renewal you have to sign them in for school. We want to not sing our children in school, is that how you also were able to homeschool to this point?
We got here at the right time..the end of the last school year, so we didn’t have to worry about registration & we weren’t asked at our padrón (some are asked, some aren’t, it’s unpredictable). We is registered for school at this point. I’ve only considered schools with flexible hours. In our case, if he goes to this current school, it will be 4 hrs a day, up until he’s ready for more by choice..but I know there are many school options with flexible hours.
@@TheBurgosExperience we will probably move in January and to the country side. It is all very unpredictable with all the different stories. Some say it is possible but aren’t very helpful in information. Of course it makes a difference from where you are moving to Spain and where in Spain you live. Thanks for sharing your story and sharing all the information
@@biondaeliza7751 the main factor for us is that we are in a visa. As part of the renewal, they require a letter from the school to show enrollment. If you don’t have a visa, then it will be easier to stay under the radar.
@@TheBurgosExperience thanks again! And good luck with everything in your journey Living in Spain. 🌸
We are willing to move to spain from Europe. Have you managed to homeschool in spain ?
Great video. Thank you. Really helped fill in some of the gaps in my understanding, and encouraged me to look into this in much more depth and get started.
So great to hear! Love reading comments like this.
@@TheBurgosExperience the bit I’m trying to get my head around at the moment is how to pick a niche and how keyword research relates to choosing a niche (I get its relevance in creating content). Are there free tools I can start to explore with rather than paying for or using a trial of SEMRush?
@@andrewhesselden this is free, but it’s limited on the amount of searches you can do, it doesn’t show you competition or alternative keywords …there’s a “bunch of buts” 😂 he said…but, it can get you started. neilpatel.com/ubersuggest/
@@andrewhesselden what I do is look for something that has over 30k searches per month and pays more than $2 per click, also it’s related keywords pay high and have over 1k searches per month, could be anything, think of something people like to do daily or at least once a week, services are usually high paying, like rehab, classes, degrees, insurance, loans, etc. You figure out a high paying keyword/s and then expand from there to figure out a niche. Here’s a good link with more info: www.wordstream.com/articles/most-expensive-keywords
@@TheBurgosExperience Thank you very much. Will do - that's helpful. My ideas are currently is showing 800 monthly searches and £0.50 to £2 per click which sounds a bit low then on monthly search volume.

Very insightful information! I’m a new blogger and there’s just so many information about blogging out there and some of them are just really bad so I’m very picky on who I take my info from. You guys should be real numbers, loved the graphics and mentioned things like SEO, Google search console, Google analytics etc and I knew that I was getting legit info!! Can’t wait to see your future videos on this!
You mentioned not to share you niche and blog site with other people but why is this? Is it because they can take keywords or ideas from you? How do you find the blogging community in your niche? Please explain more of this idea. There are so many blogging groups
@@jasonandcrystalabrian715 yes, that’s exactly why. They could cut into your profits- that would basically be inviting competition. You also don’t want to inadvertently give them wrong hacker your web address..there are ways people can attempt to sabotage your earnings with Adsense (clicking your ads over and over from the same location, for example). Google has ways of protecting you from this now, but it’s risky. Better to not share.
You obviously have to put your links out there to get traffic, but that doesn’t mean you’re outright sharing your niche, keywords, and/or earnings info. We’ve already had someone my husband trusted try to create a website similar to his (in his niche), because money talks- and if they realize they can make money by following you, they may.
@@TheBurgosExperience thank you for the feedback. I haven’t thought about it this way!
Welcome and enjoy! Insert card only if it has a microchip. Swipe card if it only has a magnetic band (in the reader on the right side you had the slot). Show more videos from Portugal. Have a nice trip!
Makes sense! This card had both 😂 & neither were working. I think the machine was just a bit slow + the language 🙃.
Have you tried using a premium ad network as an alternative to Google Adsense? They typically pay multiple times more than Adsense. Ad network like Ezooc, mediavine are great alternatives for your traffic numbers
Yes, he said he has tried Ezooc and had nothing but problems with it. He hasn’t tried the other one yet, but all the forum advice is not to switch because he is doing so well with Adsense.
Thanks for the info I found it very encouraging and informative
I’m so glad! I hope you can utilize it a bit for your own financial goals.
Where were you in MX that you didn't feel safe? We are looking at MX now but the crime stats are way safer than where we are from.
We were in Guadalajara. My response to the crime stats is that they can not be trusted. A lot of crime goes unreported- most of it. No cartel on cartel crime gets reported on those stats, for example. Mexico is also one of the most dangerous countries for women. Of course if you’re an “expat” there’s a great chance that nothing will ever happen to you, but that also made me very uncomfortable. The people there are good, but the underground is bad, & we weren’t okay living there anymore *if we didn’t have to*. Once we found a way out, we took it. There was “petty crime”, armed robberies, and carjackings all in our “good area” of the city, all on the same road our coto was off of 🤨, so it was close to home. It affected our neighbors and friends, though we never had the poor timing to be around when anything went down- it happened at places we frequented often. It wasn’t worth the risk anymore.
We were threatened with the Guardia Civil when we pulled our girls out of school. Thus why we're trying to patiently wait for Mia to turn 16.
I’m in ALE and I read a lot of stories in their forum about stuff happening with the authorities. 👎🏽
talking about one topic while demo-ing another is how we do it in real life, right? I'm usually doing something unrelated when I listen.
Yes! & it’s also a time when I’m generally left alone long enough to discuss something on video 😅. Trying to multitask…but then I get distracted from what I was doing and forget where I’m at. It’s a trap! 😂
Anyone in consulate speak English or will I need to speak Spanish?
My husband said he doesn’t know, because he only spoke Spanish to them. However, they did tell him at one point that it would be fine if I came in without him, even though I don’t speak Spanish “well”. Being here now, many people do speak English, & we aren’t even in a tourist/expat area, so I would bet you’ll be fine with your level of Spanish and their level of English, combined.
Thank you so much for this video.. I look forward to watching more videos.
Thank you!!
I appreciate your insight, especially since we'll be following in your footsteps in 2 years.
Do y’all have a city in mind?
@@TheBurgosExperience yes, we lived in Salamanca previously but we'll be moving to Jaca this time.
@@KrystalLoverin so we should be pretty close to each other, if we stay in this city 😅. It looks like it’s the same autonomous region. I am curious about living near the water though, Bilboa or Tarragona..we like the north of Spain thus far.
@@TheBurgosExperience I need to be near snow capped mountains and I'm not a fan of the ocean. My youngest daughter and I hiked the Camino Francés in 2019 so we got to see a lot of the region.
Thanks for this video. I've been in Mexico (near Guadalajara) for almost six years and am getting ready to move to Spain (near Valencia). So I really enjoyed this video. I also like cooking so that was an added bonus. I'm sorry you didn't have good medical care in Mexico. I've had excellent dental and medical care here. Two years ago I had minor outpatient surgery and both the doctor and the hospital were extraordinary. I don't blame you for not trusting Facebook or other sources. I cancelled my FB account a few years ago after being disgusted with the service. I've learned you MUST go to the original, authoritative sources. Keep up the interesting mix of cooking and sharing your story - please.
Thank you for the encouragement! We actually had three situations with medical care there. All of them involved emergencies and our kids, so that probably complicated things. Our first experience actually wasn’t too bad, though interesting. It was having our baby in the NICU that really upped the ante. I think it’s different there if a person can choose what hospital they go to, but in an emergency, we went to the closest one. Maybe I’ll do a video sharing that experience. If you live near GDL, I’m guessing you’ll be using the Spanish consulate there as well?
