Kia K4 2025 Review | First Look | What's New for 2025 ?
Yes a great vehicle.
Our family had a Traveler and my aunt had a coupe. Lovely little cars!
I had a 1959 Mini in 1969 as my first car, I loved it but it was awful, then a Herald and then a Morris Convertible... Fabulous car. Over the years I had about 8 Morris's. Great cars. Video was interesting, but the images were a bit of a mish mash, many not connected to the commentary.
Arguably a better car than the VW Beetle.
Yes, but somehow VW managed to sell millions of horrid VW's in the US but BMC just never managed to break in with the Minor.
One quick thing to point out, one of the last clips you showed was of Pat Moss (Stirling Moss' sister) in the Monte Carlo rally. She was a rally driver for BMC and her car was an Almond Green Morris Minor 1000 called 'Granny'. Pat and Granny were the first driver and car with an engine smaller than 1000cc to finish that particular rally. They also went on to have a number of class win in other rallies. Other than that good show!
Lancia Lambda first car with unibody and independent front suspension, also the commonly adopted front wheel drive arrangement used for the last 50 years has been based on the Fiat 128, not BMC or Citroen!
My first car was a Morris Minor, bought 2nd hand. I just loved it, I wish I had kept it, lovely little car, used more oil than petrol.
It was an unattractive sexless lump that was a copy of the VW Beetle anyway.
My dad bought a brand new Morris Minor Traveller when I was born. It was a beloved workhorse that was part of our lives until long after I'd left home. It was passed around between family members and was an integral part of countless family outings. When my aunt was driving it, we would load it up with my mum, my brother, four cousins (two in the boot space) and me - plus all our stuff. Even with us all on board, I don't remember it struggling on hills or anything, which is impressive considering it only had an 1100cc engine. That said, although it claimed a top speed of 75, if you got much above 65, it would scream like it was going to explode. 😂 It was extremely reliable, for its time, although I do remember my dad occasionally having to use a starting handle on cold days.
It would have been more direct & to the point, to say one million cars in twelve years. A former girlfriend of mine had a Morris Minor 1000 in battleship grey, as far as know her sister still drives it in 2025. I love the tone of the engine.
We are waiting for a video as if today's cars have no soul
From my perspective the best car ever except for crash safety.
what's crazy about the modern f150 is how it is a luxury vehicle with a useless bed and is unaffordably by the working class.
F100 and f250 were the same platform!
You mention twice that the steering wheel was replaced with a joystick while the car in the video clearly has a steering wheel?
🤔
Too many fast moving shots. Appreciate the info but I got motion sick watching.
Sorry for the fast-moving shots in this video and for any discomfort it caused. I truly appreciate your feedback and want you to know that I’ve taken this into account. I’ve already made adjustments in my latest videos to provide a smoother viewing experience and ensure more comfort while watching. Thanks for bringing it up!
🚬
🤌👏
The Porsche 356 is Rear-engine/Rear-drive! BMWs are Front-engine/Rear-drive! SAAB and Audi are copies of Citroen!
Vive!
It was also a favourite with the gestapo.
Fight climate change? In that time there was not a nonsens climate cult.
Wrong, the cost was the problem. When the average cost of a new vehicle was $16,000 and the new EV cost $30,000..... the math didn't math and the cars were destroyed because they did not sell. You would be shocked as to how many vehicles are destroyed every year that don't sell. Even popular models in the wrong color...
It was regressive and redundant much like any and all other battery electric vehicles...
They scraped the EVs just in time before the public experienced degraded batterys and how much they are to replace them.
"Who Killed the Electric Car?" is a wonderful watch to anyone who found this interesting!
funded by Elon to cry because republicans didn't want electric cars 😂
@Wok_Agenda ...it's a documentary movie from, like, 2006. I'm not sure you know what I was talking about...
Porsche and BMW was not in any way front wheel drive! And the Porsche a real death trap with a rear mounted engine! Please don´t mention BMW or Porsche when talking about the Citroen B11.
Of course I have heard of this car! I am not an american! And it was the basis for the Citroen DS, the most advanced and beautiful car in the whole world! The B15 also got the hydropneumatic suspension on the rear wheels in 1953! Called the B15H.
I think the current near universal use of front wheel drive was caused by the BMC Mini and bigger brothers. The most important contribution to good dynamic behaviour was the location of the wheels by pivoted joints as opposed to shackled axles and wayward springs used as rods. There certainly were other cars with logically designed suspension at the time: Lancia, which had unitary construction in 1920s, and Alvis were two, but more expensive and less numerous. The Riley RM front end and steering was an obvious example of early realising that proper engineering of suspension matters but didn't have to have FWD, they had certainly examined the Citroen.
When the first Mini was launched (1959), there was already this Citroen Traction Avant, the Citroen 2CV and the Citroen ID and Citroen DS. Isn't it a little presumptuous to say that the nowadays front wheel drive was caused by the Mini?
@andredescheemaecker5865 certainly but before Citroen's 1934 Avant there had been Tracta, Alvis, BSA, Miller and doubtless others including 4wd during the First World War. Nor was the Mini the first to put the engine across the car but look at Renault, Fiat for major examples copying VW with rear engine. NB that they all decided that Issigonis was right about the layout of modest cars. It was the obviously successful BMC small cars which provoked the universal adoption of transverse engine and fwd. I suggest that it was the excellent location of the wheels and rack and pinion steering which was the greatest benefit, the BMW and Riley had that after the clear advantage of the Citroen.
@@allenjames515 Look up Walter Christie's front wheel drive, transverse engined race car from 1904. The Traction was the first car with unitary body, torsion bar suspension, front wheel drive, wet-liner OHV engines all in the same package. Issigonis was heavily influenced by the Traction with his Morris Minor and Mini which really is the basis for modern cars with transverse engines. But, the Traction came first and at a price that people could afford unlike the Tracta, Alvis, BSA or Miller which was a racing car. . I own three of them and they do have their faults and shortcomings which could have been corrected had there been enough money to develop it further before Michelin took over. I love them but I think they came on the market before they were really ready for it.
As a small child I certainly noticed Citroens, presumably Slough assembled, knew they were fwd but they were uncommon. I was too young to really understand about dynamic behaviour and the approval of thoughtful and capable motorists. Then in Africa I realised that there were many non English cars, most of which were feeble, the VW Kombi and rear engined Fiats and Renaults were numerous. These had tough suspension, which Opels had not. On laterite I doubt precise handling was much prized. The rear engine fashion came from VW and modern buses have that, not having the long propshaft gives passenger space and that explains the fwd car. For driving pleasure the 'system Panhard' is superior as of course is the motorbike. Back here I couldn't understand the level pegging sales of Cortina Vs BMC 1100. Have used both but much prefer to have quick precise steering and rwd as in Spridget. For cheap convenience I used transverse fwd hatchback. I used to rate wet liners but can't fault Perkins dry liners, if the water circulation and jacket is thought out sensibly the engine outlasts the car structure let alone electronic gizmos.
Our family car in 1960. Coincidently our neighbour had the drophead coupe. Their star by then was the DS. Later I drove a GS for 5 years. It is a shame that Citroen's engineering excellence was lost, leaving their rather humdrum cars today.
My dad had a Traction, I had a very old ID & then as company cars, a GSX2 & 3 BXs. All great cars but I was not keen on the Xantia.
Beautiful
Over priced, they want damn near 60k for this truck in Canada.
Toyota is more overpriced
Nice video!
Wat happened to that Audi 😀
Everyone sit down... This truck would be lucky to make it into US markets. Keep dreaming.
Im from Brazil and i think its a joke we pay 46.000 USD for a car national made!!!!. in US with that ammount in could go into a Corvette or a F250 new.
The engine transversely mounted???? Yikes
No way the price is going to be that low.
This is amazing news for the Korean clunkers fanbois. They appreciate the superchargers, turbos, features and looks (missing the #18 that Genesis has in the Consumer Reports annual reliability survey or the high TCO = Total Cost of Ownership), while smart people people buy (the #1 in reliability and #3 in low TCO) Lexus.
are the controls in english or chimese?
both? hopefully😂
Looks like a santa cruz!
Dam nice looking truck. Well done Ram. Keep raising the bar and piss off Ford,GM and Toyota. Ya cost them tons of money and panic since 2019 with the new design. Your leading the pack but stay ahead….👍
Too bad they dumbed the concept look down
Journey...
Is that A Throw Away Engine after 80,000 miles?
Coming from Brazil with shit gasoline quality we have i believe less for real.... 30% of Ethanol wtf. FUCKING LIBERALS in goverment lol
I can’t wait for them to get here to check out and get one.
I want one!!! I still waiting from mx
If you want to get me to upgrade from my Maverick, you better get that mpg to at least 35.
What about the electric charge station that are powered by a generator which needs diesel gas😂
It’s already failed on price imo 🤷🏻♂️. Looks nice but Dodge ahem Stellantis in general is overpricing their vehicles.
